Weekend activity: Keep sanding the old finish off of the door for the closet in the new, upcoming enclosed porch. The door was originally from a closet that was rebuilt in 2013 (door from 1917). Then, it will get new stain (Minwax Red Mahogany) and tung oil finish, after cutting the bottom and top to square up the door (it's a bit of a parallelogram, at the moment!).

It was art like this that made me decide to give it up except for a hobby. Maybe because I judge drawings and paintings of people on how close they actually look like people. But hey, what do I know...

Today my daughter and her brood visited us. I got to see my grandson for the first time. He is a little over a month old. You would think that I would have seen him sooner, but this lockdown has changed life a bit more than I would prefer.
