Remember what we all were doing last time the plague was around?

Isn't it roll call today @alaskaleftybass ?

All fingerses and toesies here and accounted for, all bits working within spec for the mileage. Freshly back from a walk to the horse pistol, where my doctor sent me today for labs. Found two friendly greeters on the windward side of a huge hand sanitizer dispenser. Summarily handed a mask and
Stop. Who would cross the Bridge of Death must answer me these questions three, ere the other side she see.

Do you have a fever or cough
and something else
and something else

oh okay bye

Now I have my own mask, and it's yellow.

So Will, is this the like your first guitar you told us about?

Speaking of the Middle Ages, a friend stopped by a few months ago. He's into the renaissance fair thing now. He said he would have loved to live in those days.

I told him it would probably be pretty cool until he got an abscessed tooth.
:roflmao:

They were good record keepers

Robert of Rushton, imprisoned for errors in his account, died in prison of hunger and cold in 1323.

John Walton, died 1438, took a break from hay harvesting to bathe in the river, where he drowned.

Robert de Shallford, died 1344, smote by a knife (value of twopence), on the right side, even to the heart, by a clerk.

Ralph of Goldington, died 1266, killed by an unknown person in a quarrel

Unclear how rare "murdered by clerks" is here in the future.

Good morning GOF's Happy Friday! Please step forward for roll call and report in about all fingers, toes, appendages accounted for. Silly to ask, but what are you doing this weekend? Well, since we're confined to our little stamp of a property in little Sitka, I have a shed that's full of junk that I need to get rid of. We're going to turn some soil over in our yard-- Carey wants to do some experimental planting this year. I need to get out there and straighten things up. We're going to do some bulk cooking and Carey's going to drag out the Foodsaver so we'll have meals prepared in advance. General 'waking up with the spring' stuff.

@Morrighan I'm glad all your fingerses and toesies are well and accounted for! :D The guitar you display was (correct me if I'm wrong) one of the few iterations from Sears called Silvertones built by Danelectro All In Ones that I wish I had today!

Here is a rough estimation of my first bass: please don't shoot me if I'm wrong--I've lost a lot of brain cells in the last 50 years LOL!

So what say ye, GOF's Report in on your weekend activities! What exciting activities do you have planned? :)

That looks like a Harmony H22 with a different pickup, and different controls. Is that yours?

The "Gimme Some Lovin'" bass.
No, @El Güero that's a Google results pic. As I mentioned, that time in my life now is quite hazy but I do know that the bass was hollowbody and tobacco sunburst, I'm almost certain it was a Harmony, but I have to call a couple friends in town who go back 50 years like me...

The same series of bla bla and hand delousing to get into the grocery store.

That was Nancy Sinatra in the Silvertone advert. They must have had to sell more than a few units to pay her.

My neighbour did some experimental productive poppy cultivation in her yard, the police came to her door and removed the plants. She was well into her 80's so they just told her to find something else too grow.

I may trek up to a graveyard to visit family. Went last weekend but it was closed, even for foot entry. Gates locked and a security guard posted. No gatherings where the dead lay, rules have been taken to an absurd level. Will try again.

Most of the weekend will be spent hunting and gathering at various grociterias. With the lines to get in, everything takes much longer.

Pizza today, hot dogs and fries tomorrow. Couldn't ask for more.
