I do not believe I mentioned that one of things I was going to be when I finally grew up was a Journalistic Photographer. In fact I was 4 units shy of my degree when my late wife talked me out of it. The career choice not the degree. She made two very good points so that sheepskin gathers dust. I would have given my eye teeth to have had a conversation with Ray Manzarek! He was one of my Rock legends. And now point 3. Croz has absolutely NO room to talk. I admire the man's talent and voice but Morrison was never dragged off stage (as far as I know) for spouting his political beliefs for almost 90 minutes holding up what is considered the first rock festival. He no longer was member of the Byrds after that. I guess Hillman had enough.
I agree with you on what you saw in your fellow students. We had 2 camps in my school. Brilliant and Not so Brilliant. The 2nd group sense was not too common.
Happy Easter All!

Dr. John would have definitely disagreed with your guest's comment regarding the blues.

R.I.P. Dr. John.

As would Duke Robillard, Champion Jack Dupree, Marcia Ball, and the list goes on. You, Beans, and probably the cast of thousands here, and I feel the same way. Apparently he didn't. I didn't mean to stir anything up and I certainly do NOT agree with his thinking, I just thought my daughter was funny. He just didn't seem to get it.
I don't do one aspect statements like that, well. I believe my back would have arched just much if he had said if you have dissonant chords in a piece it can't be classical.
My daughter says I am rambling so I am sorry if I stirred anything up or if it sounded like I agreed with him.

An interview with Lyle Ritz, a storied bass player that most don't know of. Around 16:16 he does something, probably the dog got blamed.

I am guessing that the Italian trumpet players were Pete and Conte Condoli. They were brothers and both of them were great players.

Most people who have heard of them did so because they played with the Tonight Show Orchestra when Johnny Carson was the star.

I didn't want to shock the younguns in the "What song are you listening to Now?" thread:laugh: so I thought this would be appreciated here, Jerry Lee Lewis live in 1957, nice first gen P bass, Another one from 1995

Jerry Lee Lewis - Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On (Steve Allen Show - 1957)

Another one from 1995, Goosebumps, that shows he still rocks.

A complete lack of lip synching on "Whole Lotta".

Hey 19 from Steely Dan would be a good start for a Covid song.

This is the reality of it

I found a new hobby!

He must be addicted to sniffing glue. The substance motivates him to spend long hours alone building objects. He gets up in the morning and all he wants to do is glue. He might have started with tooth picks, then turned to harder wood, matchsticks. He has a supplier that he deals directly with. He even predicts that he will die while gluing.

Once they move on to popsicle sticks, they are done for. The matchsticks are just a gateway material.

Also, once the match stick supplier realized the potential danger of the "Matchstick Guy" becoming a pyro, they started sending the match sticks without the strike heads....:(
