I see is a thick blueberry pie with a slice missing. It could also be a lemon pie that has one slice left. Hence, a souce of confusion.

My favorite Fanny song is their version of Special Care. They arguably are a very talented group that has been largely overlooked and under-appreciated IMO. I also think they were one of the first and most impressive all female groups of the time. June Millington and her sister Jean (who is an exceptionally gifted bass player) still perform occasionally today AFIK.

Unfortunately we don't have moose in Sitka. You have to go to mainland gulf Alaska for that. Anchorage for example. Some up to 1,000 pounds. If they die in the road the carcass is usually donated to a charity food server or families known to have financial needs.
In Sitka, we get Sitka White Tail Deer. They're smaller but very very tasty. They eat the local pristine vegetation and that comes through in the meat. Very delicious! I suppose such a plate of fresh venison would go for $200+ in a fine restaurant in NYC. I have a few friends that hunt. Every fall I offer one of them to contribute to gas (usually $100) and a Costco roll of FoodSavers. They package all the venison and keep the roll of FoodSavers. I feel it's a good trade. One good sized deer provides enough venison for the winter and spring.

The ladies are older and wiser today. There was an article on them last fall in Premier Guitar.

Speaking of Mitch Ryder, round about 1970 or 71 I saw "Mitch Ryder and Detroit" (not the Detroit Wheels). They were one of the tightest, smokinest bands I've ever seen to this day. One of the guitarists was Jimmy McCarty who also played with Cactus, The Buddy Miles Express and recorded with Hendrix and Bob Seger. That band was HOT!!! I've searched youtube for that incarnation of Mitch Ryder's bands with no luck.
When I surfed up and listened to "Sock It To Me Baby", youtube, in it's infinite wisdom suggested "The MonaLisa Twins". Beans, you may like this. Not too shabby!
Never got to see Mitch, but have heard great things! I did get to see Cactus in '74 - they rocked.
Yes, a fan of the MonaLisa Twins. Two good songs to check out “Did You Ever Have To Make Up Your Mind” with John Sebastian, and “Africa” with Mike Masse. They also did a good job on Bowie’s Star Man.
BTW, Mike Masse is streaming live five days a week on youtube. He’s a talented performer. The next show is Saturday at 9PM EST.

Until introduced to the Mona Lisa Twins here, always believed MLT means a mutton, lettuce and tomato sandwich. Where the mutton is nice and lean and the tomato is ripe. They're so perky, I love that.
