There are a lot of religious holidays here in Lima, every year there are parades for Holy Week between April 5th and the 11th, it was cancelled this year, but I can't imagine carrying this thing all over the place. Everything is closed here except for supermarkets and pharmacies even the airport is closed to outside traffic. I was supposed to head back to MA this month but I think I'm safer here so I'll stay for at least a few more months. Lima is a city of approx 10 million people, with the window open it's like being in the middle of a Forrest, not a sound can be heard especially at night, no private cars are allowed and only a few buses and taxis are allowed during the day.

Nathan and Eric Clapton did a version of Over The Rainbow that is breath taking. Also sitting in were Steve Gadd and Billy Preston. Not a bad lineup.

"Chomp at the bit" is one of my pet peeves, in Bob-world it's still incorrect English, in fact the only reason it ever became accepted is because so many people kept saying it incorrectly which is the same way most slang eventually becomes accepted English. There are other ones but I can't think of any offhand. Webster's says "champ at the bit" is to "show impatience at restraint; be restless." It comes from something said about horses when they bite their bits "repeatedly and restlessly." They "champ." Now don't get me going!

Wrong post, right thread also works. The subjects of the two thread overlap so much that it’s had to tell which is which without checking. After scrolling all the way to top to see, I sometimes forget what I wanted to say.

With some old people, I have the same conversation with them every time we talk. The weather, their medical updates, same old song and dance. It’s what makes them comforable and unstressed.

The Archies were a great bubblegum pop band, then they had their own cartoon series, just like The Beatles. Sugar Sugar even went to number 1. I heard that they paid Jughead less, drummers often get the short end of the stick.

Yes, I actually remember the Midnight Special better i think.
