So, to summarize, are you saying you got your picture taken?

My slow (today) mind is still trying to unpack this.

If you mean "Did I see the flash", then yes, but it was more of a film in duration! :D

It definitely left an image in my mind that I can recall without fail. ;)

Amusingly, this episode didn't make me want to be a doctor. PLAY doctor, indeed......but not be one.

When I lived in Tucson, there was a bar just outside Davis Monthan AFB called "The Auger Inn". Very dark humor there.
My military service didn't involve aviation, but ex-military flyers I've known have often had that deliciously dark gallows humor, which may be more common to the military in general than to military aviation in particular.

The only aviation in my military service was jumping off the ramps of CH-46s and trying not to break anything necessary...like my radio. Since we were all 18 years old, our humor wasnt very funny anyway. We just thought it was.

Coffee in the waiting room at the dealer is acceptable only in that it's nominally coffee by strict definition. There are stacks of magazines touting cars well beyond the financial reach of people who drink coffee in auto shop waiting rooms. We'll call you to the counter when we've printed the bill for you.

I'm having the water pump replaced on my truck today. I can't believe it is worn out already. It only has 136k miles on it. It must be all that idling at traffic lights.

The water pump and the battery get me with every vehicle that I've owned. They seem to have a built in expiry lifetime. Although, like you said 136K seems early. They will have a shorter life if the vehicle sits for extended time.

When coffee tastes like mud, check that it isn't made with fresh ground.
