The Thunderbirds also lost a plane at the Air Force Academy graduation. Fortunately the pilot bailed out safely. Both teams have been grounded pending safety reviews/investigations.
Didn't notice he was a Marine. Was using my dumbphone earlier. When you used to watch them practice, was that back when they had the A-4's (Early to mid 80's I think)?

His late father in law was a life long member. Every time a bird goes down, his phone lights up with txt messages until they determine the status of the aircrew. I don't know the process but they make sure each and every child of lost military aircrew can go to college.
F-4 Angels dates you brother. The moved onto A-4s by the time I was in. Then F-18 my last couple of years. I liked when they had A-4s so I felt like my squadron had real jets. We were skeet for the fleet.

I'm getting there... a bit more coffee, just had a nice cool shower, then I have to take the night-boss to the big box store for some hunting and gathering. Little does she know, that is the only task she gets out of me for the weekend. The rest will be used for audio projects and/or hangover recovery; either is time well spent

You sure do. It's a compact, composite Thunderchild 115. I have had it for almost four years, now - extremely happy with it.

Welcome BB! Damn, teach those pesky kids to put the beer where it belongs, in the stomach! At least it's good beer. If your amp has to die from alcohol overdose, a Guinness would be best, but Harp's a close second!
