We are all possessed of very pure thoughts.

The one that trickles down in this moment is video conference bookends today as it kicks off with a whirlwind encapsulation of a very long journey that started innocently enough. What it looks like from here is we have a ring bearer who journeys soon to Italy to see the jeweler who created the ring I took off for the very first time the exact time CV hit. I expect it'll be back on my finger in a completely new configuration by mid-October.

They should get the Flying Fickle Finger Of Fate Award for speedy service.

Is it just me or would this song be fitting for a Viagra, Cialis, or Levitra commercial?

James Brown scared the he11 out of white people in the 1960s.
It is one of my favorite ironies to find us tapping our toes (we still were not shaking booty) to his funk played at venues like the Robert Mondavi winery decades later.

He didn't scare the hell out of me. He was a showman. He did what he had to do for the show. He whipped his band into shape and, to some, became the grandfather of soul.

To me, Otis Redding, Wilson Pickett, Sam and Dave and others were more qualified but, that is JMHO.

I saw him once at a club in N.Miami Beach. The Man put on one helluva show. Great band too.
