Why does his tongue look like a cross between a fish and a sandal?
Because it is. One should never question their "trips".

How about ginger-ale?
I have an old (C. 1917) steel cafe-curtain rod that I want to remove some rust from before hanging new sheer curtains on it.

I remember my 7th grade science teacher put some raw bacon in a coke bottle that had maybe two inches of Coke in it. That was on a Monday. By Wednesday a lot of the bacon was gone, and by Friday there was almost nothing left. Now, maybe he left it alone, and maybe he jiggered it; who knows? But we kids were properly impressed.
Here’s a way to dissolve aluminum. A base at the high end of the pH scale (caustic soda) is corrosive as well.

Not really sure why all the fuss once about OBEs. Unclear to me if there are more who want out of here than want in there, or how many just want to come here to be out of there? BTSOM. Everyone in my peer group read Be Here Now and grokked deeply. But actually staying in your body is something far bigger than hanging a Gone Fishin' sign on your eyelids.
And while it's true the upcoming procedure occupies many of my idle thoughts, I also know it's opening a path back to my freedom. It's like removing the patina from the curtain rod of my foot bones![]()
So, that is how plastic bags are made. Who would have thought?
Maybe that’s why people claim that coke tastes better out of a glass bottle.

I would never try that. Sounds positively revolting. Just give me a home made turkey dinner and a "few" glasses of Chardonnay. That reminds me, Canadian Thanksgiving is coming up. Hope I don't have to order my turkey from Canada, eh.
Which holiday, American or Canadian, gets the larger turkey? Maybe Canadian because it comes first and you haven’t had it in a while. On the other hand, American portions are larger.
Well, for us "older" folks, we get a small turkey. The better half does all the sage and sausage stuffing and baking.
After the first "small" meal, we have small portions divided up and frozen for future "small meals" along with fresh vegetables (roast potatoes, carrots, Brussel sprouts, etc.) and cranberry sauce.
We do Canadian and US Thanksgiving as well as Christmas, Easter and any other appropriate time of the year. We love our turkey!
For me, turkey on Thanksgiving, if that's what's served, and not again until next year. No leftovers. Once a year is enough, and I especially like years when someone decides on a roast or a ham instead.Turkey lends itself to freezing. I save enough for a week and freeze the rest for pie. I make way too much stuffing, it’s the best part.
