I learned that the blue was from the first batch of 100 that were made last year. They want $1499 and it is said to come with a HSC (not sure if it is an EBMM case, or not). Worth it?

The first 3 years that I was in the Navy, I was stationed in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. The wife and I got a little mixed terrier puppy. First two years of her life was spent in a tropical climate 365 days a year. Was transferred in mid December to Fort Benjamin Harrison, Indianapolis, IN, arriving in mid January, snow every where. When we let the baby out to do her little number 1 or 2, she would just look at me with a look that said "You must be kidding!" Spent 3 of the worst winters there and the baby never forgave us.

Dunno if it's worth it to you, but I would have trouble with the skinny nut too.

My 1967 THUNDERBIRD NR has a 1 1/2' nut, as does my Epi EB-0. Love 'em.

I’m having a J body built using walnut and using my specs. Also a fretless Bubinga neck built from a different builder. Kinda excited about it but it’s way too early at this stage...

I used to like the skinny necks; I've had a lot of Jazz Basses and other FSO with skinny necks, over the years. But, for the past several years (getting older, perhaps? ) I find my hand feels much better with something around a modern P-Bass/Rick/standard Stingray-ish nut width (1 5/8"-1 11/16"). My overall preference is for Ricks due to their narrower width at the heel end of the neck (less flare of the strings as you go up/down the fingerboard, depending on how one thinks of that stringed instrument concept ). Alembics are the same way regarding neck dimensions.

My 1967 THUNDERBIRD NR has a 1 1/2' nut, as does my Epi EB-0. Love 'em.

With me, it's not a spacing issue, or trouble making my fingers fit, but my hand gets crampy after awhile.

The 1.5 inch nut on my 31-inch-scale Chowny seems to be no mean impediment to playing. It does not, however, grant me tasty chops just for looking at it.

Took a thrilling tour of the supermarketo today unaided by the boot. First time I've worn both shoes in two months .... There is a visible hitch in my giddyap as I navigate 30 minutes under full analog power. Back home for an Epsom salts soak and it's all pretty weird feeling my foot in proper alignment with my leg.
