The long strands of cabbage and carrot provide a better texture than a traditional grater does. Way less expensive than a french mandoline and it’s easier to clean. I do grate in red radishes, they are very good for you. The radishes are too small for the peeler. Secret weapon with the mayo, olive oil, vinegar, salt and pepper is pureed horseradish.

Turkey day in the USA.

Marinating our breast only farm fresh (3rd day since culled) bird in orange juice, with parsley, sage, rosemary, thyme, fennel and shallots. Saute the herbs in Kerry Gold butter
(the best) Bag the bird overnight with herbs and OJ. Rolls rising in the fridge.
Apricot,cranberry,cherry in brandy relish.
Stuffing with apple and walnut.
Green bean casserole.
Taters Garlic, shallots with turkey drippings.
Orange (grand marnier) glazed cinnamon rolls.
Turtle pie, apple pie.
Whipped cream.
Salted caramel iced cream

Limon cello infused icing on chocolate muffins.

I'd forgotten until now just how enjoyable radishes are with a beer.
Must be why they (used to) walk around the Hofbrau Haus in Munich with those big white radishes that looked more like large carrots. They'd cut you a nice curlycue to go with your leberkäs' and semmel...and a liter of helles, naturally! Memories!

What a wonderful menu! I'm especially intrigued by the apricot, cranberry, and cherry in brandy relish. :woot:

Easy and tasty.
Fresh and dried cranberries (texture)
Dried apricots, dried cherries.
Combine raw white sugar (molasses not washed off, but not brown sugar) bring to a boil. Add a drop of vanilla, sprinkle of cinnamon.
Lower heat.
Add the dried fruits , stirring constantly.
Add fresh cranberry, and let stew until cranberries "pop" stirring occasionally.
Turn off heat. Stir in brandy ( just a shot or 2)
Put in a container in the fridge overnight .
Serve in small cup, topped with chopped pralines , powdered sugar, and lemon zest.
OMG.

When you said turtle pie, I didn't connect it with Turtles the chocolates. Been watching Korean food videos where they cook real turtles.

I like to slow cook turkey at a low temperature overnight. Always nice to wake up to a cooked turkey, ready to start tasting.

it's the limoncello icing that sealed the deal.
It's super tasty on muffins made with cake/brownie batter combination muffins.
I start with premade vanilla icing, mix in a generous amount of Sorrento made (Villa Massa Limoncello Fruit Liqueur)
Ground lemon peel, and add back in confectioner's powdered sugar over low heat in a double boiler.
My house is so fragrant right now!

Made cranberry waffles , fried egg and bacon for breakfast.
With warmed maple and marnier syrup in melted butter
