I don’t think squirrels work in power generation anymore. Hamsters have a lock on that business.

Then there’s this for squirrel brained folks.

I’ve been woodworking again, here is yesterday’s tally. One bandage on the thumb, I just had to touch that router bit. One cut on the foot, dropped a tool. A big graze above the ankle, some plywood for baffles on the edge of the woodpile tipped over and bit me over a vein. Somehow I managed to bite my tongue when that happened so now I talk funny. I’ve been told that henceforth, I have to put on my pants when working and to find my chainmail glove.

Is it time?

My mOm LOVED that clock!!! She was a country girl who grew up to those sounds, no TV in the '30s & '40s and not much radio, either. I don't know what she did to get the birdsongs off sync from the pictures, though. I had to reset them, sometimes, almost every day!

It doesn’t get as much light now, at my house. But occasionally I hear a bird call and it reminds me of her; especially the woodpecker who sounds like he's over the water where she spent so much time fishing. Good times, good times.
