It is by the events I rather sketchily describe that lead to my christening as "La Contessa".![]()
Helluva g-string.....

Aaaah!......Got the album.....You on the cover???....Bon chance!
.... and (nearly) completely unrelated .... Last evening I attended a virtual toast to the new year with some 40 classmates of my undergraduate alma mater. What is related is it is at this fine institution where I ̶e̶a̶r̶n̶ ̶m̶y̶ ̶d̶e̶g̶r̶e̶e̶ ̶i̶n̶ ̶b̶a̶c̶k̶g̶a̶m̶m̶o̶n̶ am christened La Contessa. A series of completely innocent events begins with an invitation to join Georges on his night shift at a radio station. There is an empty broadcast room, a typewriter, an oscilloscope, a microphone, a "The Stripper" by David Rose LP, and a cursory inquiry the following morning from the local constabulary.
If you give us all the details we can probably solve it.... the unsolved mystery is the nurses' uniform shop.

Speak for yerself.....If you give us all the details we can probably solve it.
One of my heroes passed away today, Tim Bogert:
My 70s typewriting machine was a Smith Corona with a cartridge. I preferred the one-time cartridges over the inked ribbon. Much sharper imprint on the paper! Old manual typewriters are very "in" ....
Liking in solidarity, not the news.

Bummer. I only got to see him once with Cactus at the "Missouri Woodstock" in '74. It was an excellent performance.![]()
Is that confirmed yet?I will repeat very briefly what he said to me about the mudshark — you will never, ever know.
It's sobering to learn of his passing. I found him to be a top drawer human being.
