Get off my LAWN! "Grumpy Old Farts"

I just wanted to post in a thread with the word "fart" in the title. Hi! :)

You must be very busy here on this bass site with ''fart'' being a common description of bad speaker sounds. A ''Search titles only'' for that found more threads than I'm willing to count. How many have you tagged, so far?

I'm 60... Arthritic...flatulent...fussy...can I be in your band?

Wha...what I don't want any cookies......ahh a number eh?

@alaskaleftybass I saw your page for help? You missed a dry rub lean BBQ grilled sirloin and some quartered zucchini with sea salt, fresh minced garlic simmered in stewed tomatoes (I'm not telling about the herb roasted potatoes as they are not on a big D menu).

That, Mr. B sounds like an excellent BBQ recipe for us pre-D's! Thank you, will share that with the head chef and bottle washer!

Looks like in the near future, this is about the only place i am going to be participating on TB about.. I am selling off most of my stuff. I will keep a lil... but i am deff down sizing!

Been there done that. But there are a few very good threads that I learn from. I just talked about how I downsized from large rolling cabs and big Peavey heads to a pair of AudioKinesis cabs and a micro-D Gallien Krueger MB500. Downsizing is all the rage, don't ya know! :)

I've found there are some real blowhards here and I've found best to avoid them. I usually follow you, Z, Bassman Paul or B-string around and I stay safe. Safety in numbers! LOL I hope you don't get discouraged, keep up the good fight, good conversation, and good grooves with your bass!

Yeah.. i am not downsizing.. i am selling and getting out of it.. i will keep one bass and one amp.. but the rest of it is going..

My 1st serious venture into a bass rig was the summer of 74' after graduating HS. A stereo Ric with the treble pup into a Sunn Colesium 8x10' the lows into an Acoustic 371. Was on the road with this for about 18 months...

Now? Just no. 500 w Rumble head into a 112 cab, toying with the idea of an fEARful or similar for bigger places, and if there's no coffee, I may not tune up..

Welcome Ken!

Z, in standing with you, I have whittled my stuff down to one bass and one amp. Pretty easy, since that's all I had. But still...

Over the past several months, outside here and the rumble club, TB has turned into a flaming zone. I have no intention of ever starting a new thread in amps and cabs. Sad.

No it isn’t actually. It’s for bass playing folk who have reached a certain age who are bad tempered AND have been known to occasionally pass gas!

Right on Paul. And we have the experiance not to make a mess doing it! At least not while we still have good control of the out door sphincter!

#130 please don’t gainsay #3!! :D

#3 is a good egg.
