I'm 52. What's it to you?! Now 'crank' me out a number!
Well, I guess 50 qualifies as old. That's when AARP starts mailing out membership apps. That was a sad day. I remember being 50. Now, I'm 60 with a bad back. Now, about those lightweight amps....
What were we talking about?

Chances are good there is enough build in the transformer to handle the added inrush current, it could tighten up the low end not necessarily provide more "headroom" though. 12,000 is already pretty stout.
Thank you.. I was just wondering because there is a certain amp that people talk about here. It used to have a larger filter cap array.. now its about 7000uf... So i wondered if it were bumped up to about 12000 or 14000 if it would make any changes.... Ive also heard about some guy doing mods to SVTs back in the 80s by adding more filter cap capacity.. I never tried it
I'm 51 and grumpy is what happens when you run sound 25+ years for a bunch of ungrateful, moronic musicians who are always too damn loud.
I don't give a rat's rearend if I get a number or not.
I get to buy into the age restricted trailer park in two months (55). Now turn down that stuff you call music and give me a number- I'm not getting any younger here.
As of this morning I'm officially a year older.
That makes me even grumpier than usual.
