I just keep coming back to your handle "Polish Thunder." It so reminds me of a friend's Polish wife, who, on race day when I took the office to the Arlington race track for some team building, only bet on one race...on a 50-1 shot named Polish Navy.
Of course, Polish Navy pulled off the upset. She took home more money than the rest of use lost cumulatively. So much for the betting charts.
It all depends on the Body-Fragility-to-Play-Extremity Index. You know, the good old BFPEI!
Moms, of course, always underestimate their child's Index. Thus the exaggerated helmets, pads, boots, seatbelts and whatnot. Come on, Karen, kids are tougher'n that!
Drunks, on the other hand, always overestimate their own Index. Thus, "hold my beer" is never followed by "gimme that helmet" when it certainly should be. Come on, Earl, it's not worth it!
For the rest of us, hopefully, Life is a continuing balance of body protection vs play restriction with the ever elusive 1.0 being the ideal, if not easily achievable, goal. And, of course, everyone's tolerance to that goal is different.
Or so it seems ... ...

Our parents told us to get outside and play and be home by supper time. We both had great parents but there was not much worry about us getting hurt or where we went in a small town. Get hurt, cry for about 5 mins, then go back to it unless it was a major bleeder.
Memorable "accidents": hit in the head with a rock about the size of a golf ball, hit in the head with a frozen dirt clod, shot with a BB gun, pedaling hard on a bike and the chain comes off followed by bouncing around on the center bar then hitting the pavement, falling off a horse (passenger), tearing the ACL on my left knee (it was called a sprain back then - found out about the ACL 5 yrs ago before knee surgery - it was left alone).
Have to rethink this a bit. I was a little worried about the heat from the power amp. After about 45 mins the glass in the table top was really hot. The power amp is too heavy to sit on the glass top. Might try some kind of heat shield.
It is so much better listening in that room!
Is that a piece of saki I see in his maws?
The speakers look like they have an LED array along the bottoms of the baffle.
Is that a PAS-3? I had one of those in the mid '70s.
How about a small fan to divert the heat from the bottom of the glass?

Honda Valkyrie...and it DOES sound like a Ferrari...lol. Especially with those 6into6 straight pipes. As loud as any Harley but sounds nothing LIKE a Harley, which is exactly what I wanted.
