Janet and a friend came into Pan Pacific Camera to buy something, probably a camera and/or a lens, maybe even the vaunted Leica CL (original one)Not to put too fine a line on it, but there is a certain kind of person who is outraged about <ehrm> immodest women. And worse, no doubt.I still know (but don't talk to) people outraged by Janet Jackson's wardrobe malfunction.

I won't either except for the fact that gravity can, at times, be unforgiving....
This means a trip into the attic to find where the outlet hooks in. Must be a bad connection somewhere and that HAS to be fixed. This attic is no fun with multiple levels and trying not to put a foot through the ceiling.
Do or do not. There is no try.
The vintage stereo saga continues. Turned it on and kept hearing the power amp tranny bucking and the turntable was barely turning. Moved it to another outlet and things were fine. Okay, bad outlet. Can't remember the last time it was used. Replaced the outlet and the same thing. Put a meter on it - 114v no load, 76v with a load. What the...? Everything else on that breaker is okay. On a related note - whoever wired up this place was on drugs. That one outlet in the sun room is on the same breaker as one wall in the living room, the dining room, foyer, front porch light, back porch lights. Half of one room and half of another are together. Geez. There are two switches where I have no idea what they control. The only thing I know is that when I flip them the neighbor comes over and says "Stop it. Every time you do that my kitchen lights go off and on."I spent half a day the other year mapping all this out and I still have surprises.
Reminds me of the story about 2 guys lounging next to the pool at a high dollar resort. In chatting, they discover both are there courtesy of insurance settlements on their businesses. First guy says that they had a fire which destroyed everything. Second guy says, "yeah, we had a flood that completely wiped us out." First guy turns to the second and asks, "how do you start a flood?"Good fortune. When you find the bad junction, you might have prevented a fire.

I love that kind of loose painting.
That kinda reminds me of the singer that I worked with. I always felt bad for her. She would start the night with the open toe or strapped high heels and after things got rolling it was back to flats. Her poor feet looked so tortured with toes leaking off the edge of the shoes. What women go through!
Here in the future I'm looking for some Doc Martins

The surest way to get other women wound up at me is not to wear a bra. I've never heard a man tell me to put on a bra. Absolutely I will hear that from other women![]()
