S'cuse me but, isn't it Wednesday? ....or late for rising yesterday?Looks like a lot of late risers here on a Wednesday of no particular account

I meant to write 'innit Thursday?'Day of Week is arbitrary when you're retired! It feels like a Wednesday.

That hundreds of millions of people agreed Saturday night / Sunday morning that time is arbitrary should be evidence enough to demonstrate reality is highly malleable
Finally carved out time to watch this. Marvelous stuff! Thanks for that.Airliner landing in Dublin. View from the cockpit.

I have never gone along with the semi-popular notion that one should work at home dressed as if one is in the office anyway. My own work ethic and personal standard of quality determine my output, not the cut & material of my pants. No one has ever come back to me on a project and said, "I dunno, Win, it seems like you may have been dressed a little too comfortably on this one."One thing unclear to me sometimes in retirement is my continued habit of dressing daily as if to be "Casual Fridays" professionally presentable. That's an art in of itself. But no matter. That I still dress as if I were to see actual people tells me a great deal about my own expectations of reality

Still "dressing for success" each day, even casual friday-like, is the mark of the still newly retired. In my case dressing at all is merely a concession to marital tranquility. And thermal comfort in winter. Well, OK, all that and public decency when I gots to go somewhere. Mrs. Dog retired long before me but is only occasionally getting into the spirit of it in recent years by cooking and sewing all day in her pajamas once in a while, for which she expresses shame. I console her with entreaties to "living happily ever after", in our "golden years", and all that. However, when I mention "sans vêtements" I can tell I've gone too far. But, I'm wearing her down!
.
... lot of old beliefs to shake off
hmmm...if you're wearing her down, does she still have her flight feathers?I'm wearing her down!

I can't be seen in anything that I wore 1/2 year ago...unfortunately. Our standard mode of dress in the last band was tuxes...it was just easier than to let the individual express themselves only for management to object. We were doing mostly high-end weddings after all.All my corporate clothing went to charity the day I hung up my pica pole.Someone or multiple someones scored some very expensive attire on the cheap. And I swore I'd never be seen in a suit again.
