Teacher used to give us ear training in school.

In the early morning there was apparently a spectacular lightning storm. I totally missed it. It did rain most of today. Good because it cleans up the dirt in the streets left by the melted snow.

Wondered if someone would pickup on that. Would have been disappointed if not. They couldn't see me since their fence blocked the view. Let's just say their fence is now two tone.

Love the Pioneer stuff from the '70s to early '80s. Well built and looked great. Other makes at the time were really good, too.

I had a friend years ago with an auto reverse reel to reel. The head mechanism would rotate 180* when it reversed direction.

I love that mashup. If you mean the woman who's with Astaire in the stopped scene in the embedded video, that's Eleanor Powell. It's from their "Begin the Beguine" duet. Ginger Rogers was a pleasure to watch dance, but if it's tap dance, I'd watch Powell over Rogers any day. In the duet, check out how much less hard she's working to do the same dance Astaire is. She's making it almost look effortless. I'd be dead on the floor in ten seconds.

My brother bought one of these in the early/mid '70s while in high school; he sold it to a friend while were all living it up in Los Angeles in the '80s.
