Are the wind and kebab related?

Teacher used to give us ear training in school.

In the early morning there was apparently a spectacular lightning storm. I totally missed it. It did rain most of today. Good because it cleans up the dirt in the streets left by the melted snow.

Windy day. Power goes out. Tree branch on line. Miss the Friday ear training. Eat a half a doner kebab. Cool to see a Pioneer turntable. Video done, uploaded and all.

Love the Pioneer stuff from the '70s to early '80s. Well built and looked great. Other makes at the time were really good, too.

The pinnacle of Pioneer receivers.

More lustful Pioneer stuff:
Pioneer CT-F1250 - The Walkman Archive
My first reel to reel: the magnificent Pioneer RT-909 | The Walkman Archive

I had a friend years ago with an auto reverse reel to reel. The head mechanism would rotate 180* when it reversed direction.

I love that mashup. If you mean the woman who's with Astaire in the stopped scene in the embedded video, that's Eleanor Powell. It's from their "Begin the Beguine" duet. Ginger Rogers was a pleasure to watch dance, but if it's tap dance, I'd watch Powell over Rogers any day. In the duet, check out how much less hard she's working to do the same dance Astaire is. She's making it almost look effortless. I'd be dead on the floor in ten seconds.

Good catch. I wasn't paying close enough attention.

Piddled in the yard getting stuff ready for the sprinkler install tomorrow. Now having coffee and a sticky bun and listening to Kansas "Kansas" on LP and old obsolete amps.
Umm, 'piddled' may mean something different where you are. Here it means 'taking a whiz'.
