Let's hope it's not like some that give a "swing" feel. lol.

School last night. The past three weeks have been like roulette with attendance. Never sure who will show up. Not sure what's going on with some folks. I think we've had everyone only twice this semester since we were able to meet altogether. Oh well, crazy college kids. We're playing my original tune "Private Eye" and my arrangement of "Naima" in a 12/8 Afro-Cuban style.

Washed both cars today and cleaned the glass, then waxed the Corvette. It looks so much better now! I'm just about out of steam. Tomorrow, mow grass and vacuum the car interiors. Probably ride the scooter early tomorrow morning. Need to make some minor updates on the original tune.

I think tomorrow I'll hang out on TB and Virtual Railfan...Oh. Right. I have a gig tomorrow night. Well, b4 and after.

It's like on the news on TV. They go to commercial and when the commercial is over, they say "welcome back". At which point I say "I didn't go anywhere, you did."

Ha...my favorite TV tool is my DISH DVR. First thing in the morning, I tune in to my favorite news channel, then press pause. I then go to TB and emails. Once that is done, I go back to TV, watch the news, fast forward through commercials to the next news segment.

I hate the same commercials over and over again. I have discovered that CNN commercial breaks are 4:30 minutes long. That is 9, 30 second fast forwards through commercials. Works for me ;).

I half-wondered if it was a reckoning for all the blasphemous memes being posted over in the funny pics thread.

Wondered enough after writing something down here to place a crash call to a friend in SA.

Refocused and found an amazing studio in a carriage house on the lakefront (Lake Michigan) and am booked for two nights. It's a two block walk to where I need to go and wait bookmark that, this is the studio

and what should arrive in today's post but a blue sail cloth knapsack and new shoes. Purchased both with this journey in mind. It's actual sail cloth, minus the resins that make a sail stiff. If anything it's almost too big for two nights, and I can live with that. I've a crossbody bag from the same people that's just big enough for my wallet and phone, and

what might I find in all the excitement but a local doctor's appointment on the day I leave for Chicago. And totally forgot to ring that office today to change the appointment.

I'm not a TB addict, but ..., uh, ... my ..., uh, ... friend is a TalkBass Addict. Yeah, that's it. Not me! It's my friend that is Addicted to TB. Yeah, ... ...

Why, I didn't even notice that TB was out for 4 days, 18 hours, 37 minutes and 26 seconds (by my chronometer/internet access intervals). No problem at all, for me. Now, my friend was going bonkers Sunday evening, staying up late to check every few minutes! But not me. I never googled "TalkBass down?", not even once. I could care less. Makes me no nevermind, whatsoever. Didn't bother me a bit. Just ..., uh, ... my friend's jitters and constantly asking everybody he saw when it would be back again, was slightly annoying. But, other'n that, I hardly noticed. I didn't (sniff) miss you guys, and gal, at all! (sniff) Nosiree, not ... at ... all. (sniffle, sob) But, I wiil admit that it's agreeable to see y'all again. (blubber, ... sob... sniffle) <ahem> [cough, cough] ... ... :D
.

I missed you guys and The Contessa. :) I was more addicted than I knew...

Planning absolutely nothing this weekend! Last weekend was our big vax experiment after getting our 2nd shots about a month ago! We drove 3 hours each way Saturday to kiss, hug & schmooze with kids & their spouses, grandkids & 1st great-grandchild(!) at one GK's 2nd birthday party. Then we had Mrs. Dog's family over for Easter dinner on Sunday! Some have had some shots, some ain't had none!! So far, so good. Keeping fingers crossed, knocking wood and walking on eggshells waiting to hear of the first sickie from these two groups.

Are you more of an ampaholic or a bassaholic?

Way better than a motel.
