I got it in my head to order an old style Maelzel German made metronome. I don't like digital clicks as much as the analog type. The idea is to play slowly in time and work my way up.

I have one about 10' from where I sit. Been in the family for 69 years from when I started piano lessons.Exactly the metronome I recall. Love to wind the key until it stops.
The one on the smrtphn is the one in daily use. My wife does that with her clothes too. Seasonal. I wear the same stuff year round...It's a metronomeium here, where I there are three electronic metronomes and two metronome apps. Two Korgs and a Tascam sums to three. Two Korgs because I bought one when the first one was misplaced. One app on the desktop computer, and one app on the smrtphn. They all sound inorganicThe one on the smrtphn is the one in daily use.
Today put my winter tops away. Need a new summer top. Top of the list for a summer top (that I fully intend to wear in Chicago) is one that features Skippy the Metronome.
Yeah, here in SE FL, I wear the same[stuff]all year, adding a windbreaker if it gets a bit chilly(which it does, contrary to what some folk think). My wife does that with her clothes too. Seasonal. I wear the same stuff year round...

Woot woot. Nice to be back visiting the GOF thread. Missed it while it was gone. Happy Friday everyone! We got a lot of snow here in Sitka last night. Swept off at least 4 inches from my car this morning. It was powdery so an easy fix.
What's everyone planning this weekend, GOF's?![]()
This weekend? To be nowhere near snow! Other than that, hopefully to get started on the driveway/retaining wall project (as in, parting with a bunch of moola so the contractor can order materials).Swept off at least 4 inches from my car this morning. It was powdery so an easy fix.

Don't forget to to top off the winding if you want to play reasonably in time.I got it in my head to order an old style Maelzel German made metronome. I don't like digital clicks as much as the analog type. The idea is to play slowly in time and work my way up.

Chilly (Chile? Chili? - alternative spellings)? Isn't that supposed to be in a bowl or on a hotdog or south of the Equator, or sumtin'?Yeah, here in SE FL, I wear the same[stuff]all year, adding a windbreaker if it gets a bit chilly(which it does, contrary to what some folk think).

I do like a nice chili from Chile when it's chilly. So, The DayThe EarthTB Stood Still occurred at 5:36pm on Easter, eh? By my reckoning, the reason for this event was that precisely at that time all the microwave ovens in the US were turned on simultaneously to heat up veggie side dishes.

My daughter will be delivering her 4th child tomorrow. My wife will be in the delivery room and I'll be baby sitting.
I half-wondered if it was a reckoning for all the blasphemous memes being posted over in the funny pics thread. So, The DayThe EarthTB Stood Still occurred at 5:36pm on Easter, eh?

In the winter I wear pants and a coat, the rest of the year, I don't.

YOU'RE an addict!
You were here before me! So there!

I'm not a TB addict, but ..., uh, ... my ..., uh, ... friend is a TalkBass Addict. Yeah, that's it. Not me! It's my friend that is Addicted to TB. Yeah, ... ...
Why, I didn't even notice that TB was out for 4 days, 18 hours, 37 minutes and 26 seconds (by my chronometer/internet access intervals). No problem at all, for me. Now, my friend was going bonkers Sunday evening, staying up late to check every few minutes! But not me. I never googled "TalkBass down?", not even once. I could care less. Makes me no nevermind, whatsoever. Didn't bother me a bit. Just ..., uh, ... my friend's jitters and constantly asking everybody he saw when it would be back again, was slightly annoying. But, other'n that, I hardly noticed. I didn't (sniff) miss you guys, and gal, at all! (sniff) Nosiree, not ... at ... all. (sniffle, sob) But, I wiil admit that it's agreeable to see y'all again. (blubber, ... sob... sniffle) <ahem> [cough, cough] ... ...![]()

"Hi everyone. My name is Will. I'm not a Talkbass GOF addict." (Everybody sitting in a circle of chairs) "Hi Will. Welcome."

Alright... how often was everyone checking to see if the forums were back up? Seems like it has not taken long for the regulars to jump back into it.
