Get off my LAWN! "Grumpy Old Farts"

There is a large smoldering movement on YouTube of young musicians covering the old hits from the 60's through the 90's. Especially the 70's and 80's. I'm so happy to see these covers come back to life and that the youth are embracing the songs. Here's an old timer for ya. The singer, Alyona has her own YouTube channel where she does outstanding covers of everyone from Led Zep to Janis Joplin.

I passed a medical adventure milestone this past week. April 12, 2021 made 10 yrs since my last IMRT treatment for prostate cancer. I had follow ups every 6 mo for the first 5 yrs then once a year.

ALL GOOD! :hyper:

Scary stuff. Didn't feel anything, nothing out of the ordinary.

The docs saved my life. Maybe that sounds melodramatic but that's what I think.

GOOD TO HEAR alright!
It pays to get it monitored often when you are GOFfy...especially if it is prevalent in your family. I lost my brother to prostate cancer because he never got tested until his PSA was 70 which is well too late for any conservative treatment.
My dad had it too but caught it soon enough to get treated with some sort of sub dermal medication.
I have been lucky so far. My PSA number is OK and not moving much. I get it checked every year now.

Congrats. Carey and I have one of those home colon kits in the bathroom. We need to get those done.

P.S. One of you GOF's recommended that I reboot my TV to restore voice control to my newly upgraded Amazon Fire Stick. Guess what--it worked! Thanks for the tip!

Thanks, guys.

The urologist implanted three gold seeds in the prostate to guide the IMRT treatment. Now my wife can't say I'm worthless.

Yeah!!! Beans strikes again ;). Seems to me that every firmware upgrade should start and end with a reboot. It's something akin to flushing a T...oops, can't say that word!

Call any tech support for anything remotely electronic and that's the first thing you are told to do. The few times I have had to call, I've done all that before the call. When the rep asks me to do it, I tell them I already have. They usually insist I do it again. I sit in silence for a few mins, then tell them it's done. Apparently listening and comprehension skills are not needed for a tech support job.

Thanks @beans-on-toast for the great suggestion.

I am familiar with the Microsoft "process". Scratch familiar - experienced. lol.

A good portion of my IT career was client support, too. I just said something like "It's never done that before" or "What were you doing right before that?". lol.

I bought a new Surface Go 2 back in Dec. Was working fine until the 20H2 update in Jan. The camera and mic stopped working. I've done all of the recommended fixes several times, reported the problem to MS and the community forum - No response. Tons of other people with the exact same problem on different computers. Some with built in devices, some external. I did find an article that said MS knows about it but no other info. I'm confident it's something in 20H2. Our laptop's built in camera and mic still work since 20H2 has not been installed (and will not be).

A tech job support involves following the script provided...one cannot deviate from the script.
