Way better than the old days. A cousin used to make films. In addition to holding the camera, which had a clockwork winder to spool the film, he would hold up a six bulb light bar.

Can you spy on people through their web cams? Some companies apparently do that. Also monitor what people are running and even what they type.

A lot of people bring their phones to meetings and surf the web while others are talking. It's amazing that any work gets done by some.

A little piece of Scotch Magic Mending Tape, with a little tab folded over to make removal easy, stays over the lens when not in use.

He shot family films as far as I know. In the old days, you couldn't send naughty film to the drugstore for developing, they would censor it after making personal copies. Besides, he couldn't have been a pervert, I never saw him at any of the meetings. (An old joke from MASH)

We had those, superseded by 2 of these-which I still have. And they work. Sylvania "Sun Gun".

I sure can! I remember those barstiges. Burned the [bleep] out of my arm on one. Got a lot more careful about handling it after that, though. :blackeye:

But if you did, you pretty much had to put the film lab guy on the payroll... :whistle:





...because cats can be temperamental, and make re-shoots difficult, so you want to make sure the film you shot turns out well.

It isn't as bright as the bigger 3000 and up units but it can still burn out your eyes if you look directly at it. It's amazing what simple LED's can do. The stand is a nice feature. Way better than holding my tactical flashlight.

I looked at that lamp. Went with the Binford 6100 instead. 3 Billion lumen. The photons from it can bore right through concrete and lead.

Reminds me of the notion of airline landing lights to replace the fog lights on the car.
