I went downtown late this afternoon. It was like a ghost town. All the office towers are closed, work at home or don’t work. No out of town people. Students have gone home. Retailers are open, the stores have very few people in them. All very sad to see.

My lineage is mostly Irish. I still don't like "U2". One of the few bands I'll change channels when they come on. I'm anti-Bono.

I liked the movie but the scenes with him kinda made me nauseous. Book was much better!

Beatles 1962-1964 compilation. I like pretty much every thing they have done. "In My Life" is my absolute favorite Beatles tune.

I had read years ago that Sting was kind of well... you know, but then all of a sudden he had this mid 50's P bass which was not THAT long ago and I think Fender even made some Sting basses like that but it's not like he started out on those, he used to play regular old 70's P basses like us. When I saw that and heard it called a "Sting" bass I thought "well that's kind of pretentious" I mean there is a duck Dunn bass but that's because he played the same bass for eons and the same for most other players, they all played the same bass for many years and some of them ever started out on them, Chris Squire for example.....Actually I'm just jealous I want a 55 P bass too.

Duck Dunn earned his stripes. As far as I am concerned, that is the difference.

Dublin is SO much fun! I used to stay at the Conrad off of the opposite corner of St. Stephen's Green from Grafton St!

The bandstand at St. Stephen's Green.

Grafton St. at Christmas. Didn't take me long to figure out which pubs were the early closers, and which didn't even get started until the early closers closed.

My favorite (and only) Police concert was the one where they opened for The Kinks, who totally rocked their not-very-tight performance.
