From there, the bass falls from the drivers hands, the end of the G string pokes through the box and finds its way into the open receptacle. The driver goes to pick the bass up and POW! Now you've got a real debacle on your hands.

Walking around outside without a mask is fine as long as you can distance. On a plane, never. Middle seats should be verboten unless a dog is in that space. And if you are wearing a mask, you should be given priority boarding.
I didn't realize that they cost that much to make these days.
We had something that looks similar pop up in the yard a few years ago. I don't remember flowers. Might have pulled it up before it flowered. We have all kinds of stuff growing the yard. Some of it is actually pretty, actually.

The "yard" exactly as it is today, seen from two steps beyond my office window. It's maintenance-free.

There are significant cracks and subsidence in sidewalks at the school. It's been that way for a long time. Their method to fix - put yellow caution paint on the areas. I like the arrow idea better maybe with a sign that says "Hey dummy, don't trip on this".

My expected package returned to Lafayette from Baton Rouge and has traveled to the "city" of its final destination. It is out for delivery and an official representative of a department of our federal government will be bringing it to me. This particular individual usually arrives around 3:00 pm but sometimes is here as early as 2:59. Well, that's memory for you.
And in truth I steer clear of math like the plague, yet dabble in science-y things now and again ... a fairly exhaustive book (forgot title and all) about the Spanish Flu. What I recall is the rate of mutation was too rapid to find an actual sample of the virus at its most deadly. And by some good fortune plus readiness found the virus in native Alaskans buried in permafrost.
Plagues and Peoples is a pretty good read on the intersection of war and disease.
When the risk of the Spanish Flu subsided, it gave rise to Spanish Fly.
