You are correct, sir! I've had several of their offerings. I said this about 35,000 posts ago - I've tried a bunch of different whiskeys in the past few years, most of them really good, but I keep coming back to Stranahan's and Wyoming Whiskey.

My liquor, mostly whiskey, "hobby" is my last ex-bosses fault. I had a business trip to CA and she invited me over to dinner. I was introduced to better whiskeys and tequila. Yeah, it's their fault. That's my story and I'm sticking to it! :laugh: They are really nice folks, too.

Many of them are full of themselves. They sit in groups outside bars and restaurants with this look at me attitude. When they speed on roads dangerously weaving in and out of lanes, they risk everyone else's lives. I encountered one like that last weekend on a city street. Where's a cop when you need one.

Yeah, that's a little irritating at time. I was behind someone the other day when I was on the scooter that kept hitting the brakes on every curve. Oh my! It's says 45 for this curve. I better slow down to 30. Maybe stuff like this is why it was easy to be a GOF. :laugh:

There are whisky clubs with large selections. There's no shortage of people with no financial limitations. I know someone who was buying drinks on a company tab, he found out later that they were charging $200 a shot.

I simply do not understand the wine and liquor collecting other than trying to make a buck. You have this wine that cost thousands of dollars and it's supposed to be really good. Well, how do you know it is? Some people said so? What's the point of having it if you're not going to enjoy it? Are you the envy of the kids in the neighborhood? My opinions only. If this were posted on a wine forum I would expect flame on! Then again, if you have the funds and it's what you want to do, go for it.

Man, I'm getting good at this GOF stuff! :laugh: I'm fortunate to learn from the experts on here. That and I don't have anything else to do at the moment. Hmmm...maybe I should turn on the B15 and play some bass.

I do enjoy the odd drive with a stick shift, provided it is not in rush hour. Being able to down shift before curves and avoiding the brakes and clutch is a joyful experience. It puts the fun back into driving. I take my wife's Mitsubishi Eclipse out for fun at least once a month but, not in rush hour. Sitting on two pedals is not my idea of fun :).

Not sure what you're talking about. Just to be clear, I wasn't talking about you.

I was talking about jet setters and how reckless they can be. These are people that literally fly their cars into town in airplanes. They seem to be above the law with things they do. What I was in the middle of last weekend was a high speed two car chase on winding city streets like you might see in the movies. That's very different than a fun ride on country roads.

I agree, a good bass played through a good amp will put you into a new and great mind set.

The DSG transmission smrts on the S4 is/was much better than I, a lifelong standard transmission driver. Yes, this is depressing to me. The S4 is/was in so many ways the perfect car for me. All that an M3 is, with quattro drive and cup holders.

Then the sun came out. The trilliums are mostly done for. The white flower turns pink before they wither. Something else will come up and take their place. The forest is always changing.

I'd always downshift b4 a sharp curve, avoiding the brakes and clutch. 'Course I was driving this.

Sometimes it's not a cop. Sometimes, it's a ginormous city truck. Joe Goldchains from Carefree was driving his black Porsche Maxmobile south on Pima Rd. at night. In the dark. Too special to drive the speed limit. Too special to take his place as 4th in a line of southbound cars. He managed to pass the first two cars just fine, but as he was passing car #3, they crested a hill, and he hit a northbound City of Scottsdale dump truck head-on at a very high rate of speed. The pictures I saw of the wreck were unbelievable. It didn't even look like a car anymore. The driver of the dump truck did not require hospitalization. The driver's remains remained with the vehicle, last I heard.

As Neal Peart said "We're all immortal...for a limited time."

We don't have a lotta hills in FL, but I had impatient folks wanna go around my 18 wheeler in fog where I couldn't see 500' in front of me.
