Get off my LAWN! "Grumpy Old Farts"

When I was driving back and forth between Denver (girl friend) and Madison (college), I had a CB radio in my car and listened to the trucker's channel. Interstate speeds had been reduced to 55 (I can't drive 55!), so I found it helpful. I just got tired of listening to catchers looking for pitchers, so I took it out.

For those of you who've never had the pleasure of seeing the original film, here it is, and you're GOFs, so you have the time...

Back then, the local theater in my mom's home town, where we were visiting, played the trailer for "Day of the Triffids" before the main show. After the movie everybody got a little manila envelope of "Triffid Seeds" on the way out of the theater. The visit was over before the Triffids movie opened, so I never saw it. When we got home we planted the seeds to get our own Triffids. Sunflowers.

I don't put a green bass on camera for the same reason I don't wear green on camera.
People maybe not so much, but this 2021 Vespa Sprint 50 Racing Sixties scooter in verde bosco looks great. I like it so much, I'm ordering one so I have a little something to run errands on when I get to France. The European model doesn't have those ridiculous front and rear turn signal indicators. On the U.S. models, the normal turn signal indicators (clear on the front fairing, red on the rear by the brake light) are disabled. The Euro ones also don't come default with the reflectors. I've of two minds on those. Dont' like the look, but like the additional visibility.

Wow, that's a real beaut. Do you have to get a temporary driver's license in Europe or is your state license accepted? When I was in the Army in Europe my state driver's license worked but I also showed my military ID if I was ever stopped (rarely).

Over the years, I bought 6(?)progressively better CB's for the truck(s)and my 4 wheelers. Still have all of them out in the garage. Haven't hooked any up in ~5 years. Last time I did, by the time I'd squelched out the static, the range was maybe a 1/2 mile. IDK if anyone uses them any more. New trucks come wired for antennas so I guess CB's still a thing. AFA the @$$ buckets trying to 'hook up', I just ignored them-turned up the stereo.

Not sure what you're talking about. Just to be clear, I wasn't talking about you.

I was talking about jet setters and how reckless they can be. These are people that literally fly their cars into town in airplanes. They seem to be above the law with things they do. What I was in the middle of last weekend was a high speed two car chase on winding city streets like you might see in the movies. That's very different than a fun ride on country roads.

No worries. I was talking about the same thing. The comment I made being the general attitude on some forums - If you don't agree with us, you're wrong.
