Practically no shortage of media coverage of computer criminals. But just about nothing anywhere about criminal computers.

It was eerie in the forest this morning. It was raining and darker than usual with the canopy overhead. This open area was better. Dogs were out having a great time roaming together.
Then the sun came out. The trilliums are mostly done for. The white flower turns pink before they wither. Something else will come up and take their place. The forest is always changing.

Resistance is futile. The new receiver I bought for the music room is mostly software controlled. Two knobs and a power switch only - on/off, volume, input select. Everything else is on the remote - input and volume duplicated, tone, balance, spkr impedance/select, tuning, whatever. If the remote dies, you've got a problem.
It's not fun when this stuff fails. On the Corvette, the windows index down about 1/2" clear the top when you open the door. I got in it one day and the window kept indexing up and down and wouldn't quit until I opened the door or roll the window down. Roll it up and started it again. Ok...disconnected the battery for a few mins. Then it would index and stay there. Roll it up and index again. Ok...put the top all the way down and back up and that fixed it. Next time, I'll plug it into 220 or 221, whatever it takes.
But not as cool.
Willing suspension of disbelief is the cornerstone of many a business model.

Great movie! Book was good, too. The two sequel books, eh, they were okay. I have it on DVD. Time to watch it again.

You are correct, sir! I was out running errands today - top down, sun and 70s! This car is so much fun! Probably go out tomorrow AM if it's not raining (again). It's been a while since it's had some "spirited driving".
Tetons today. This is our favorite time of year to be in CO and WY. Wish we could be out there now!

In this area(SE FL), there are quite a few people who own "spirited" cars(Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati, etc.)that really have very little chance to 'let 'em go'. Interstates are commuter roads, therefore heavy traffic, and the FHP/Sheriffs have no sense of humor.
Also see a lot more Bentley's and Rolls' than most areas, esp. in Palm Beach[$$$]County. I had a RR SUV pass me a coupla weeks ago.

There are a few roads around here with some mild twisties (30mph marked curves) and rolling hills. I get more fun out of the acceleration than high speed. When you're above 80 or so stuff is happening real quick. I seldom get above that. Seriously, no fooling, most of the time.
But I do get to my desired speed quickly. 
To your point about the spirited cars in FL, you would be hard pressed to find a better bang for the buck than a Corvette, especially preowned. The one we have was a $65K car in '07. Bought it in '18 with 14K miles for $28K. Even new, it's still a lot of bang for the buck.

Speaking of Modern Marvels... There was a reboot this year but so far it's been all about food. Adam Richman has hosted. Yeah, it's okay but would like to see it like the original format and varied topics.
The original was one of our favorite shows. Repeats have been airing recently.

Yeah, I've had nothing but vans since the summer of '69(hmm, good title for a song?...nah), but I did get to drive one of these a few times.
