I'm pretty sure I could use more router bits since I have empty spots in the bit holder I made. :laugh:

Seemed pretty cool at the time but quickly found no one would contact you outside of FB. Got tired of farmville updates, I'm having lunch at Mickey Ds and here is a pic of my big mac, here's me in the car driving down the road, ad infinitum....

Fortunately for him, I think the city will let him slide on this one (two, if you include the damaged part of the street surface the city had to repair). We have some of our own issues with Gilbert regarding some mistakes on his part with the driveway he poured for us.

It was more of an oops moment. I never heard of anything happening to the contractor.

Nextel. Aw, geez. Motorola could make such good gear, but their (no longer "our") marketing was dreadful. Add Iridium to the convo. They NEVER had a viable go-to-market plan. F'ing clueless, they were. Put a high-tech product in front of them and their eyes glazed over. They were used to selling police radios. We all know how bad they sucked at cellular handsets.

Chris Galvin sent out an email saying that anyone caught carrying/using a non-Motorola handset on campus would be fired. Not kidding.

And I worked out of the country, in places where Motorola handsets (handys, as the Germans like to call them) didn't work for doodly squat. Take baggage reclaim in Dublin. Big ad for Ireland's #3 wireless carrier. How to set up your handset to roam on their network while working/traveling in Ireland. For Nokia handsets, 3 simple steps. For Motorola handsets, it was more than twice that many steps, with WAY more words per step.

You know where I'm going.

I owned a Motorola handset that was not connected to any system. It was a dummy. I used a Nokia handset in Europe and Asia (and the U.S. when at home!). I needed an LG handset in Korea with a separate Korean number and account (unique modems).

I kept a LinkedIn account going for years after I retired, solely as a way for former colleagues and clients to find me. It worked OK for that. After I'd reconnected with a couple of peeps, all I got from them was SPAM. Even after I deleted my account. Worse than FB for that.

I never used the LinkedIn account. Set it up at a friend's suggestion. I just delete everything that comes in. No idea what my p/w is...

Oddly enough, a popular router used by luthiers is the smallish Bosch Colt. Next comes a Dremel with a router attachment. Dewalt makes some nice routers. I use all three products.

I was on the user side. Hated DEC. I'd come in on Monday morning, only to find that the VAX support buttwipes in Colorado Springs had dialed into my 780 and twin 750s and updated the OS. Which killed all of my device drivers. And usually a bunch of other stuff, too. Then I'd waste days recovering. I came to absolutely HATE even-versioned VMS releases. Most of the DOT-odd number releases were pretty clean. But the DOT-evens? Shudder.
