If something untoward happens at C--N it's going to affect a great deal more than Zurich, IMO.
From what I know of the work they do I would tend to agree. Most days I'm not sure if I should be more worried about some place like Yellowstone producing an extinction level event as a normal condition of the earth doing what it does or mankind wiping us out in the name of science. It just seems like whatever could be learned from a catastrophic scientific discovery exercise won't be of benefit to anyone unless they're looking at the earth from another planet.

It occurs to me that such an event has already transpired. From my viewpoint (see what I did there?:smug:) things certainly have gotten strange in the last several years!

This is why we do executive complaints. Don't F with me. I'm retired. I have time to make executive complaints and I get enjoyment from it!

The other line I use is "You're going to fix this or you'll have to talk to my wife. You really don't want that."
Is the reaction "oh, crap!"?

Some day some kids making out on some other planet are gonna go "Look! A shooting star!" and it'll be us.

We’re so fragile. All it will take to wipe out the human population is a simple virus and no vaccine.

We should take heed, That's how War of the Worlds ended.
At least we can hope it won't end like the day the earth stood still.
Heck were likely pudding in 2022 when the Didymos asteroid punches though the atmosphere .
