Good thing I don't have a job. Then again a robot could randomly click on the internet and make random posts kinda like this place. :laugh:

Will Robots Take My job?
Wow, another place for collecting information on us. Who'd a thunk it?

Yeah this one is tremendous , the biggest ever, the world has never seen anything like it before. Bigger even than the one that hit Yucatan and wiped out the dinosaurs. Trumps any asteroid in history.
I am very much looking forward to this; missed the last big one, sadly.

That's way more knowledge, skill, dexterity, and patience than I may hold for a "project". Could have a lot to do with why I have no "projects".
This has been posted here, previously, but I think this would be a good, simple starter "project" for a neophyte.

And, as a special bonus, there is a discussion of the differences of the Swiss language between the French and German areas.

I tried that when I was a kid. It didn’t end well. Neither did paint by numbers.

There are so many competing story lines for our present moment on this planet
:: smh ::

That's part of my difficulty reading science fiction. Every plot "in the future" that involves humans is kind of grim. Star Fleet is so 26,000 years ago.
I view it as no coincidence that most billionaires have harnessed the best tech they can find and focused their goals on accomplishing something huge off this planet, not on it. The earth has an ultimate shelf life given our proximity to the sun and what is happening with it (tons of years away), but I think the planet will be undesirable to inhabit much sooner...maybe in decades...

Not to worry! Our elites have planned this out for us, or our descendants at least. Have you seen the pre-historical document, 'WALL-E"?

No taxes off-planet. There will be taxes their indentured servants pay, and their children and grandchildren will pay. And no return trip to Earth....

That all computer programmers are good people, and their employers are good corporations with good intentions and objectives, are not good assumptions to make when talking about C--N (of Zurich fame), and/or quantum computing, I find.
I work a lot in cyber warfare these days so I may a bit cynical, as well as not all that optimistic about etthw orld in general. I have concluded that much of what happens with people is in response to how they perceive and are inclined (prompted) to react to their environment. Much like the old days in PSYOPS warfare today's basic internet site sensing/learning algorithms are manipulating people by feeding them more of what they consume on line and reinforcing/rewarding their behaviors for consuming it. I believe this is why we see people who are so polarized/galvanized in extreme positions - it is a learned and reinforced behavior resulting from how we are fed information intended to addict us to that source (and their advertisers).

...there is always a tax/toll/price to be paid and the wealthiest usually find a way to pay the lowest percentage share of it while simultaneously having the loudest voice in what the money is used for...at lest IME...

As usual, the folks who can't resist political posting in effect deposit a turd in everyone else's soup. This will have to stay closed until a local moderator has time to clean it.

When the site rules say "no politics", what they really mean is "No Politics".
