I trust they're not putting this stuff in me.
You'll take it and you'll be glad for it. Why, back in the old days, they used to make us cut a switch, put us on a treadmill and make us run while singing selections from The Messiah while they cracked us across the backside with the switch. That stuff made you tough! No, young lady, these days you kids have it soft. No switches anymore, and if you whine enough, why, they give you a drug instead of making you run. Bah. Bunch of sob sisters nowadays.

:D

Right!
Ya should see what happens when they test to see how your pacemaker's doing... The tech doing the tests presses a few remote buttons and your pacemaker cuts out for a few seconds. And you feel like it's goodbye world, the Big One, dizzy, nauseous, and almost pass out!
Then the tech presses the recovery buttons, smiles, says sorry, says but hey you're still good to go now for a few more years before we have to replace your battery..
-Being bionic is nowhere near the fun it's made out to be...
(But it's still a duck lot better than the alternative!! :D)

Somewhat reminiscent of this:

I don't know about the eyeball soup, but the monkey brain part is sadly real. A former father-in-law (head buyer for Montgomery Wards hard lines (office equipment, cameras, that kind of stuff)) had to experience it in person. He was the first to assemble and sell a 35mm package with a name brand camera body with a standard lens, plus unknown brand wide angle and telephoto lens. He would travel all over Asia looking for cheap, but decent products to bundle into kits. That meant business dinners. At one of them, it was fresh monkey brain. I will spare you the details. :vomit:

Trop cher. J'ai Demeyere Industry5.

Les produits Industry5 sont très bons. J'ai un pot All-Clad qui est similaire. Je pensais que le Creuset serait bon marché en France, comme Logde est ici.

Industry5 are good products, I have All-Clad which is similar. I thought that Le Creuset would be inexpensive in France, like Lodge is here.

Horsemeat is considered delicious by some.

Horsemeat is considered delicious by some.

There’s a lot of horsemeat restaurants locally. Can’t see why people would seek that out.

I suspect that there are even more places that sell horse as beef. There was a scandal years ago when a butcher that I go to was fined for adding horse meat to their hotdogs. In France, that would be like adding water to the wine. Something that you never muck with.

Some words and gestures have universally understood meanings, and they're not limited to humans. Snake language is well understood without the need for Google Translate. The old brain recognizes cobra without a dictionary.

Suppose some snakes still make their way to Ireland for reasons of their own, but don't stay.
