Right!
Ya should see what happens when they test to see how your pacemaker's doing... The tech doing the tests presses a few remote buttons and your pacemaker cuts out for a few seconds. And you feel like it's goodbye world, the Big One, dizzy, nauseous, and almost pass out!
Then the tech presses the recovery buttons, smiles, says sorry, says but hey you're still good to go now for a few more years before we have to replace your battery..
-Being bionic is nowhere near the fun it's made out to be...
(But it's still a duck lot better than the alternative!! :D)

Trop cher. J'ai Demeyere Industry5.
Dang! I aced French class in tenth grade, both speaking and writing, and now can't remember squat of it except an occasional word or two.
It used to bug the teacher because I would never pay attention. She really thought that she could embarrass me
by calling on me in class when I was goofing off and rattle off something in French to trip me up. I responded without a stumble. Ah, well...at least I can still speak english a little.

Un sandwich aux doigts, si vous n'arrêtez pas tous de parler français!
Aren't we're getting quite Canadian around here lately...
(I tried my high school French in Quebec once in a French quarter restaurant during a jazz festival many moons ago... -The waitress sighed and said please, PLEASE, speak English!)

In second year high school Spanish we were required to speak only Spanish in class. If we didn't, Mrs. Beck, who was born and raised near Madrid, would invariably say, "En Ingles, por favor," and make you repeat yourself in Spanish. The guy who sat next to me and I took to putting on a Speedy Gonzales accent in class quite often. Mrs. Beck would say something like, "Charlie! You talk like a tired Mexican!" Upon hearing which, I Speedy would invariably reply, "En Ingles, por favor, Señora Beck..." Cracked her up every time. No idea how I passed that class.

A high school biology teacher was from Spain. She would teach bilingually.

You probably asked her where the library was when you were ordering. :smug:
Or worse... Maybe something nasty and sexual? :speechless:
(Prolly not tho; my French wasn't that bad!)
Anyway the Montreux Jazz Festival (sometime in the 90's) was excellent, as was our B&B stay in the home of a former Parisian model. She made great breakfasts, and then later the Festival even had some great Cajun music going on too...

A friend and former colleague harvested Rocky Mountain Oysters at a festival in Cheyenne. Her husband holds awareness of this.

I think Rocky Mountain Oysters taste like veal. Makes some sense, I guess.
I was only making a funny about the horsie bawls. Learned my lesson, I did. Should have known better, especially after those sucker posts yesterday, but no.

Well, shoot. Mrs GT and I missed an opportunity to influence who the new neighbors will be. The neighbor's house has been open house the past couple of afternoons. We should have kept an eye out and if we saw someone we didn't like we could have taken an "argument" out the front door. Then look at the lookers and say "What the hell are you looking at?". I had also thought about putting the scooter out front and let it run at a fast idle for a couple of hours while doing burnouts in the Corvette, top down, and AC-DC blasting on the stereo.

Nah. Hope they get their price on the house and we get good neighbors.
