Had Ponce de León truly found the Fountain of Youth, I estimate the probability he would share the discovery with the rest of the world is zero.
A terrible picture of the fountain of youth in St. Augustine, Florida…from one of our trips. It didn’t work for me…:meh:

Unless they play the music you absolutely hate. Could happen.
Ohhh yessss!!! I once took a job operating a carousel ("merry-go-round" to some...) in a large amusement park. Thought it, and it's calliope style (but electronic) organ music would be delightful. And at first it was...
But after a few days of listening to the same damn six tunes tooting over and over I was %#$*& ready for sound-proofing headgear (which they of course wouldn't allow) on the job!!

Don't they use stuff like that at Gitmo?

The music on some of those rides was loud as well. Locals that got taken on by the midway told me that a lot of the full time workers that set up the rides were drug addicts.

The whole point of this doctor stuff is so we are well enough not to see doctors. That's how it works, right? Right?
To me, the whole point of this doctor stuff is so I will become penniless and can no longer afford to go see the doctor, then, well, the end of this life cycle thingie we're on.

????
Drug addicts and alcoholics don't have any special inclinations to super-loud music anymore than 'clean and sober' rock musicians do! (Iffen you can find any, that is...) :roflmao:

Well it is Mick Jagger's birthday today.

So were/are a lot of the riders. What could go wrong? ;)

They used to bark, if you mess up, you clean up. Nothing worse than projectile vomit flung from a spinning ride.

I take it you've never done a rookie glider ride then? A roomie of mine back in Vermont was an instructor, and perhaps a bit of a sadist, oh man.

My point was, I’d never go on a ride that was set up by people that weren’t all there for whatever reason. Things have changed now, there are inspections. This was back in the 50’s and 60’s.
