I just got a steroid injection to my left hand. Getting old sucks. Hard to type for the numbness.

IDK 'bout him, but my folks had a single engine 'plane they'd take trips in. Can't just pull over to the nearest rest area. Note "Pilot Urinal".How is it that you are familiar with such devices?

I'm going to guess long family road trips, and the stereotypical male determination to "make good time."![]()

Yeah, I wish I had taken the ring off before the shot now. Hopefully it won't get any worse than this. They numbed it with cold spray beforehand; it was still not a pleasant experience but I have had worse things happen. Not usually by choice, though.Arthritis is bad enough. Those injections are painful, does ice at the injection site help any?
Your ring looks tight. I had that problem and it affect blood flow. Not so good.

I had a friend who, any time something bad came up, would start muttering under his breath, "bunnies and kittens, bunnies and kittens."
Like the TV commercials say: May cause redness at injection site.
I keep one with the addition in my van-JIC.I have the set.
It isn't good to not go. I sometimes use it when I'm on the road. You don't want to go into some facilities unless you have to. Especially when I'm driving in the middle of the night. Of course, on a small plane you need a way.

I'll just clip-n-paste what I said in the COVID thread recently:
...one of the biggest sources of frustration I have: The loss of respect for people I've known and even admired for decades. It would be one thing if their choices were based on reliable information and sound reasoning, but it's impossible to support when it's based on the nonsense they've bought into. ... ... how in Hades am I supposed to see them the same way again?![]()

The really crazy part, to me, is that both sides seem to feel this way about the other side!
I mean, really?!?!
.
McDonald's restrooms are typically clean, and are safe bets on the whole. An airliner's head is not guaranteed to be clean. And I've seen people going in there in their bare feet![]()
