Get off my LAWN! "Grumpy Old Farts"

I just got a steroid injection to my left hand. Getting old sucks. Hard to type for the numbness.

It's one of those adhesion contracts in life, I'd wager. There seem to be quite a lot of them, IME. Individually, they don't look like much ButWow do they pile up

IDK 'bout him, but my folks had a single engine 'plane they'd take trips in. Can't just pull over to the nearest rest area. Note "Pilot Urinal".

There is no head on a racing sloop. I ask the captain "where?". He produces a contraption ... yes contraption and leave it at that, because there is pump action. You use it, you clean it, he says. Rather risk going overboard before I use that, is my conclusion.

Didn't fall overboard.

There is the time I put the captain in the drink

And I thought this was supposed to reduce inflammation, not cause it!

Arthritis is bad enough. Those injections are painful, does ice at the injection site help any?

Your ring looks tight. I had that problem and it affect blood flow. Not so good.
Yeah, I wish I had taken the ring off before the shot now. Hopefully it won't get any worse than this. They numbed it with cold spray beforehand; it was still not a pleasant experience but I have had worse things happen. Not usually by choice, though.

I have the set.

It isn't good to not go. I sometimes use it when I'm on the road. You don't want to go into some facilities unless you have to. Especially when I'm driving in the middle of the night. Of course, on a small plane you need a way.
I keep one with the addition in my van-JIC.

I'll just clip-n-paste what I said in the COVID thread recently:

...one of the biggest sources of frustration I have: The loss of respect for people I've known and even admired for decades. It would be one thing if their choices were based on reliable information and sound reasoning, but it's impossible to support when it's based on the nonsense they've bought into. ... ... how in Hades am I supposed to see them the same way again?

The really crazy part, to me, is that both sides seem to feel this way about the other side! :rollno::bored::banghead::spit::rage::sour::thumbsdown::mad::confused::eek:o_O

I mean, really?!?! :meh::eyebrow::cautious::facepalm::wideyed::atoz:

I see this happening, too.
Come Saturday I will need to show my vaccination card to take my seat for Dead & Company. You can always trust your head to the Grateful Dead is what we used to say Back In The Day. And I find this to be true.

It's not a bad bet that I'm here now because I went to the ER and saw doctors who used science to diagnose and treat me. And while not entirely pleased to know what a "small" heart attack feels like, reporting I feel I made sound choices in seeking help. At no point did I contemplate seeing The Big Kahuna instead of Dr. Wosname.

McDonald's restrooms are typically clean, and are safe bets on the whole. An airliner's head is not guaranteed to be clean. And I've seen people going in there in their bare feet  :vomit:

I was scared for life using a large McDonalds roadside washroom.

I was feeling pretty sick after eating some fish. Went in, it was a big room. People would come in, make a throwing up sound and quickly exited. After I was done evacuating, I came out feeling much better. There was a line outside the door. First there was a cleaner with a mop and bucket, there was a line of people waiting behind him. They all gave me the evil eye as I walked by. I was pretty embarrassed.
