All kidding aside, I saw YES before I ever heard a recorded track by them and was blown away. They brought playing/singing skills and new technology (to me anyway) to live shows that really made them stand out. If I remember correctly they opened for a headlining band called Savage Grace which was a Detroit based "Prog Rock" band (that's what Gooogle calls them). Unfortunately for them they could not hold the hometown crowd after YES finished their set. I ,too, left.

Also a Sonny Rollins fan, who I was most privileged to see in an intimate setting. There is a musician worth disconnecting my daily life as a tour head

There was NoWai I would have ever paid to see Béla Fleck and the Flecktones, and I was converted
For me, 25 or 6 to 4, live at concerts-with Earth Wind and Fire(massed bands)-with my daughter.
I missed so many great concerts from ~72 on 'cos I was working 6 nights a week with bands. Can't take Saturday night off to go see ________. This observation feels like a tautology to me, as in, true by construction.
I did not see anyone dissing a group they hadn't heard, in the above discussions.
I will admit I am not a fan of the trevor years. Either of them. "My" Yes is the lineup of Anderson, Howe, Squier, Wakeman, and White. I certainly liked the early Bruford and Kaye years as well. This video for example...

Ok, I guess. I wasn't accusing anyone of anything. Much less of 'dissing'...
I think it can be safely said that not all of us like the same stuff-music, food, people-in-charge, whatever. Live and let live. Or laissez faire(from the department of redundancy department).
