Ace of Cups is the band Jimi Hendrix came away most impressed with, the story is told. They never did get that record deal. Or took 50 years to get that record deal, however you choose to see it

Fanny was another all girl group (early/mid 70's IIRC) that I thought could easily outplay most bands of the time. I'm not sure how well known they were/are, but I think they too were very overlooked and undervalued commercially compared to their contemporaries.

I saw them at Boston University in 1971 and they were stellar. There was definitely some commercial buzz at that time but IIRC tickets ended up being free for students. Still a more uptown show than the occasional Aerosmith performances at BU that fall, which were often out on the sidewalk in front of the student union building on Comm. Ave.

On Saturday, I managed to showoff my penchant for clumsiness - again! While bending over to pick something up, I also turned to look at something and pulled a muscle in my lower back. For now, I am living off of muscle relaxers (prescribed by an RN - my wife) and ibuprofen. Today is day three of pain. Hopefully it will be no more than three or four more days until I’m back to being normal (whatever that means for me).

@Jeff Scott - I watched the same F1 debacle on Sunday. Said in the voice of Comic Book Guy, “Worst race ever!”

For now, I am living off of muscle relaxers (prescribed by an RN - my wife) and ibuprofen. Today is day three of pain. Hopefully it will be no more than three or four more days until I’m back to being normal (whatever that means for me).

Back pain is never easy to deal with. Take it easy and try to do some exercises while you lay there. I find that it helps.

Get better! I have been having back pains, spasms, etc. for a goodly portion of my years (GOF ones, and otherwise).

I feel ya, 12bit. I felt all froggy this weekend and embarked on a hand wax of my truck. 4 hrs later found me at Auto Zone buying a cheap orbital buffer. Yesterday AM I was limping. Lower back dislikes bending over and waxy off at the same time. :/

These multi-part waxes mean that you have to do the entire body more than once. Now I just use a car wash that has wax in it and a foam gun. Not as nice as a deep shine but a lot easier on the back.
