He did his grandpa proud. His team won both games! 18-0, 6-0. He's 10. Best receiver in the league. Doesn't drop passes. I was told he Caught a 25 yard diving reception. Go Saints!

Hope your auto repair went okay.

Awesome!

I might have luck on my side. Found the connector covered in oil and cleaned it up. Erased the error codes and drove 2 miles round trip to the grocer and no error codes or miss fires at 2000 RPM as it had been doing. Drive further tomorrow to makes sure, but I also saw 18 MPG @ 30 MPH, which is very promising.

Nash->AMC->AMC/Jeep->Mopar/Jeep I6... if they don't leak, they're out of oil. Last forever and get V8 gas mileage. I'm coming up on 200K miles on the clock... barely broken in. 6 main bearings.

'Cause we can't multitask.

The mind can only have one eye like a few other parts of the body.

Wait, just how many, hmmf, never mind. I probably don't want to know.

I have just one Jake.

Played a gig in Abilene last night. Great gig, great fun...but there was one waitress that had a bit of an overbite problem.

Actually, her teeth were so bucked that every time she sneezed last night, poor girl bit herself in the chest.
Hey, glad you had a great gig but the orthodontially challenged have enough problems without making them the butt of a joke.:cautious::smug:

6 main bearings.
The 4.0 L straight six in my 87 Cherokee was a 7 main bearing engine IIRC, and last time I got an update it had over 300,000 miles and the bottom end was still solid. In the old days Jeep (regardless of parent company) knew how to build an engine, especially 4 and 6 cylinder models IME.

6 main bearings? That'll last awhile.

Hey Al! My 66 is coming up and for my b-day I'm getting an EX110-4ohm for the recliner lol. Kind of a lot of horsepower for an armchair practice amp but I figure I don't have youth anymore but have a few more bucks than a young punk like I used to be LOL.. seriously will be fun to have one available for practice..

Yee still be a wee lad.

Have fun on your B-day.

Put another candle on your birthday cake...:smug:

On a 2, 4, 6 or 8 cylinder in-line engine, it's going to be an odd number of mains, for a 6 cylinder, 7 is the gold standard. Front and back main and a main between each cylinder. V type engines can share mains between opposing cylinders (the offset of the cylinder banks is a rod journal width), so a V6 would be front, back, and one between the first and second bank and another between the second and third bank, 4 total. A V8 would add another for 5 total. V type engines typically will have larger main journals (and maybe more bearing cap bolts) because they are carrying the load of more cylinders.

The weird stuff that one remembers from agricultural/industrial engineering classes, I had a whole class on engines and mechanical transmission power systems. Didn't end up using this very much ;)

[edit] I made a math error on in-lines, the pairing of cylinders would result in a front, rear, and intermediate beteeen each pair of cylinders. On an I4 you would find either 3 or 5, on an I6 you would find 4 or 7, and an I8 you would find 9 or 5. There were a few early Chevy I6's with 1 intermediate main rather than 2 or 5, but as power levels increased these faded away. Early Ford flat head V8's also strayed from the norm with 1 intermediate main supporting 4 cylinders on each side, but these were also very low powered motors.

 Thanks @BadExample you bad boy. I guess I let the cat out of the bag too soon. My BD is February 18. But I will take all the wishes anyway!
There's always a birthday somewhere.

Let's party like it's 2018! Wait...wha?

Whatever, pass the e-cig and drink up my friends for the end may be nigh...no that's not the one either.

Drink and be merry for all young gentle...no not that one either...actually, that's a good one. Let's go with that!

Happy birthday everyone, no matter when it actually is!

Well, I spoke too soon. The flu got me yesterday and went right to my lungs. Had a fever and raging headache too, but the fever broke late last night. This must be a pretty virulent strain because I haven't caught the flu in a long, long time. I'm recovering faster than my wife (much to her annoyance) even though she's taking Tamiflu. She got hit a lot harder though.
