Just got finished with two days of the stomach flu that's been going around. Butt on the crapper and head in a trash can. Now THAT"S multitasking.
It was at least 6 weeks for me. Get feeling better for a few days, then sick another week or two. Started in November, finally came out of it a couple weeks ago. Not sure if I was not quite beating down the bug that was beating me down or I just got sick 4 or 5 times in a row.

Be sure to keep you electrolytes up.
Calcium, potassium, magnesium, phosphorus, sodium and chloride are the most common electrolytes.
Milk,yogurt, coconut water, oranges,bananas.

Yup. fluids fluids fluids. Had the same thing a couple of years ago and passed out from dehydration in my kitchen. Hit the counter going down and busted my two front teeth and split my chin open. Loss of a days work wasn't so bad. Getting the teeth repaired and the chin stitched up was around $800. (My cost after insurance.) Fluids would have been a lot cheaper.
Quick weight loss and saggy skin are signs.
Other Signs
Thirst
Dry or sticky mouth
Not peeing very much
Dark yellow pee
Dry, cool skin
Headache
Muscle cramps
Signs of severe dehydration include:
Not peeing or having very dark yellow pee
Very dry skin
Feeling dizzy
Rapid heartbeat
Rapid breathing
Sunken eyes
Sleepiness, lack of energy, confusion or irritability
Fainting
Symptoms for babies and young children can be different than for adults:
Dry mouth and tongue
No tears when crying
Dry diapers for 3 hours
Sunken eyes, cheeks, soft spot on the top of the skull
Sleepiness, lack of energy, or irritability
Severe dehydration is a medical emergency and needs to be treated immediately.
Drinking plenty of fluids tonight, hope to pass out but without injuries.
I'm thinking about pulling my pants down.
