Present and unaccustomly accounted for. Digits and appendages are nominal.

Mrs. Dog and I are traveling. She's "working" a quilt show while I harass, ...uh, I mean, visit kids and grandkids! Life is too short to be grumpy just now. I'll grump ya later.
There's always time to 'grump'. Just drive around a little.:eek:o_O

I'm driving in, and across, and around the big city! Yet, strangely enough, I find myself just smiling(!) every time the inevitable happens. Because next week I'll be home in "Mayberry", and they'll still be here!!! BwaHaHaaahaha!!!!

:smug:

Good point. I come up here to the Orlando area about every other weekend and marvel at the driving of the "tourons".

Hey, I resemble that remark! Literally! I was trying to get into the proper lane in this evening's rush hour as safely as possible, but someone felt I needed to hear their horn, to help me concentrate, I guess.

Either that, or they saw my out of state license plate and they were trying to say, "Welcome, friend!" Yeah, that's prob'ly it. ;)

Crazy day in Sitka!!!! Rain and wind, the rain is literally falling in SHEETS! Get out the galoshes!
Still here. 70-80s in LA.

Worn out from downsizing 40 years of stuff. :poop: The organized hoarder. My advice: Don't wait.

6 three-yard bins. Weekend yard sale. 80 boxes of books. 25 boxes for shredding. A trip to the hazardous and electronic dump. Fixing so many things. Pro handyman helping out. Basically emptying the house. Fortunately garage is 19x36, my storage unit.

Report? I got something to report...

Wednesday we started having a new roof put on, based on a specific estimate and time frame. But when they started tearing off shingles, it was discovered there was no roof decking, just paper and shingles attached to the old (ca 1948 or older) wood shakes. So THOSE had to be removed, exposing the attic for a while.

The additional materials and labor added a cool $4k to the bill, which was being handled straight out of pocket. Yeah, team!

So then Friday, wife’s truck will not start for love nor money...and our driveway is one lane. I ended up pushing hers out back far enough to get mine into jumpstart position in the front yard. Fail. She took mine, I ended up walking over 3 miles in 40 degree winds round trip to UPS ship point so package of higher end mics just sold could get where they were supposed to at the time promised...

So yeah...I got yer report

As W.C. Fields said, "Start the day with a smile and get it over with". Sorry 'bout your past 3 days. I hope today's better.

Sorry about your weekend Ken. Hope it gets better from this point...

Something to grump about.

After a long drive today, we were two minutes from home. Tried to turn onto my street but it was closed because of a protest. Traffic was gridlocked on all the streets in the area. Cops were forcing people to make turns in directions they didn’t want to go in. We sat in traffic that mostly wasn’t moving for over an hour to travel what normally would have taken two minutes.

A lot of very grumpy motorists. Some of them were even using bad language. It could have been mitigated with a little detour planning by the city.

It was a freezing day. It turns out that this time the children were out protesting global warming. Typically, these events are more about a social party for them. If they really cared, they wouldn’t be making all those vehicles burn fuel needlessly.

To my Brothers in Arms and especially those who made the Ultimate Sacrifice, thank you for your service to your country. If my father were alive he'd throw out a big Hail to the Canadian and Australian vets who fought beside him in the Pacific Theater under General MacArthur.

I’m feeling very verklempt today. I’m thinking of our two dads who fought. One in the air and one on the ground. Then I watched the news to see the ceremonies all over the world. One world ‘leader' who would not visit a cemetery because it was raining! I wonder if the soldiers said we can’t fight today because it is raining? I thought not! :(

God Bless our Veterans who fought to protect us from evil and to save our way of life. We can never repay that debt!

As the prayer goes, protect us from evil.

Edit: Actually, "protect us and deliver us from evil". Good then, good today.
