My wife was away for a week. I love grilled salami and bologana sandwiches on a bun from a place in the neighborhood. Today we celebrated her return by going there for lunch.

Attention all GOF's! Please report in for weekend status! Report if all toes, fingers, and whatever other appendages are accounted for. This weekend we are boxing up a lot of canned goods and donating to the Salvation Army. Every year The Salvation Army does a food drive for the holidays. We figure we've been blessed and I would like to share what little we can offer in the hopes that someone else will benefit. Also housework housework housework. Carey still isn't up for doing much and I won't let her. so I better put on my apron LOL!!!!

Here, but still sleepy from the late night we had from going to see Renaissance in Kent. Plans? Brasilian GP, and Pumpkin Sunday, a party that a friend hosts, keeping his long gone parents tradition going.

The Salvation Army always gets the most of our donations...simply because they are the best .Back in the 50's I was on their "March of Dimes" super market promotion as "Crippled Jimmy" complete with a picture of me in a wheelchair. Born with clubbed feet, and, with the help of them and the Shriner's Children's Hospital, I was able to enjoy playing racquetball and referee for hockey in later life. In other words, I was normal, although my wife may dispute that now

I was hoping to start cutting some wood in preparation for my winter bass build, but it's too damn cold in the garage. Makes my increasingly arthritic hand feel worse which makes me an even grumpier old fart.

Got stuck doing a project for work that is pretty much consuming me every day until early December...that's what I get for saying, yeah sure, I can help out. On the other hand it's interesting stuff and it's just nice that someone is willing to pay me for something I can actually still do.
Everything that was working still is-sort of. Spent the day with my daughter at Disney's Food & Wine Festival, eating and drinking too much. No gigs this weekend but a big yearly Finnish Gala next Saturday. Good folks and good pay. They asked us to learn the music to a Conga Line dance that's like a slower "Bunny Hop". Now it's a freakin' earworm. Aaaarrrgghh! EDIT- if ya wanna drive yerself nuts, go to YT and type in "Letkiss"-Roberto Delgado. WARNING: you'll be hearing it in your sleep.

First gig with the new band is a week from tomorrow.....still have about seven songs to polish up....just me and you tube for the next week. Signed up for social security yesterday.....first check in a couple of months and I can still work full time. Life is good.
