Survived the weekend. Our season is starting late (why?) this year so not exactly 'killing it' gigwise. Then again, not concerned about shoveling snow, this or any other(what passes for)winter in FL.

Good news: Mom out of the hospital yesterday and my dear sis-in-law moved her to rehab. She has a nice room with a view and seems to like it.
Funny, I always thought I'd be the first one in my family to be sent to rehab. You never know...

My wife worked in a chronic care hospital when we were in school. The experience helped a lot years later when family members were in a similar situation.
It takes time to mentally adjust to the situation. People often go through phases. Many people find the days long and anything that helps them pass the time helps a lot.
Yes sir, time all but stops when sitting in a hospital room.

There are many challenges to overcome. It isn’t easy on the family.
Cookin'! Guys like King Curtis made me realize/accept my limitations as a sax man and to stick with bass.
Those guy all had so much talent. They came up with a rich background steeped in the basics, playing dives every night while honing their skills.

As you well know, I did my stint in the hospital with Carey, and YES those chairs do raise havoc with the back! As far as rehab, when they come to take you away, give me a call and I'll go with you!
