yea its big this town is called namche
He has spent 3 months climatizing by walking in Glacier Nat. park....... he also has a 100 mile hike to get to Everest and back as high as 18k ft, he says he is doing fine.......this would kill me..

That is interesting. Maybe it's more of a West Coast thing. From the '50's, when I was a young trick or treat'er, in Vancouver, the sale of fireworks rivaled that of the 4th of July in the U.S. I haven't spent a Halloween there since the early '80's but apparently it is still a thing.

I believe the Brits still have Guy Fox night but that is in early November and is more bonfires!

Guy Fawkes was a gentleman who tried to blow up the British Houses of parliament. He was stopped from his evil intent and burned at the stake on November 5th, 1603

Since then he has been burned in effigy every year. The kids would build a local bonfire and create a ‘Guy.’ He would be wheeled around the neighbourhood in an old pram or wheelbarrow and collections made. ‘Penny for the Guy’ was a typical chant. The money so garnered was spent on fireworks. On the 5th each Guy was hoisted atop his pyre and the various bonfires lit. Understand that there were different bonfires all over the place. A tasty treat was to throw a potato into the fire. Dragged out it was burned black and covered with ashes. Delicious!!!

The only clock that requires resetting is the microwave. Fortunately, all the rest change automatically. I haven’t worn a watch in over twenty years so don’t have to worry about that.

It seems that we’re in the Christmas season. The papers are advertising parties, some stores have decorations up, one channel is playing Christmas movies, and retailers have been senting me emails with pre-black Friday sales.

I like the season. We bought a supply of booze laced Christmas tarts.

Hey GOF's. Still on Carey's CNA duty. She is getting better but has her up and down days. The healing process seems to take a long time. But I have to remember where she was when this started. A lot of improvement.

Well, another one of my crazy ideas. I bought a Grindhouse GR10 PA speaker for my living room practice amp, a GK MB200. It's 17 pounds and only cost $84 with shipping. It has a 10" woofer and a small rectangular horn. From my experience with the GR8 the horn will not sound harsh, it's rather airy sounding. If this cab doesn't work out my next choice is another Eden EX110 which will sit full time in the living room.

But I have a good feeling about the Grindhouse. It's made by a company called Seismic Audio which is an American company that's been around for quite a while. I'll give an update on how it sounds when I get it next week. I did try out the Grindhouse GR8 8" PA cab but it just didn't have enough bottom end. Here's the Amazon pic of the cabinet.

I’ve been using EV PA cabinets for bass since the mid 80’s. They aren’t bad, the only drawback is their weight. I either have the horn off or just crack it open a bit when I run a stereo through them. Hope that your speaker cab works out.

I’m wondering what sort of sonic quality $84 with shipping can buy. Interested in hearing about it.
