I guess I'm one of the lucky ones 'cause the time change never really seems to bother me. I'll be fine by Monday morning. My big gripe for this time of year is that the leaves will all be down in my yard by next weekend. I've made the clean up easier by running around them with my riding lawnmower and blowing them all into a big pile. Then I take a king size bed sheet and use it to haul them all into the garden and burn 'em. I'm in kind of a rural area so no one gripes about burning leaves around here. Last year at this time , I had hurt my back and couldn't take care of the leaves. I guess my neighbors all hated me for a while but they got over it. We had huge wind storms last year so everyone got someone elses leaves blown into their yard by that.

Nothing like the smell of burning leaves in the morning.

I just ride over them with the mulching mower. 'Course we don't get as many dead leaves in southern FL.

I'm wondering just what is growing in dear beansy's back yard :D

My reference was to napalm.

I don’t do well with the smell of whatever people smoke. I have an allergic reaction, swell up, eyes water, nasal drip, coughing.

The city mandates no fires, leaves have to be bagged and picked up on a specified collection day. They have separate garbages bins for compostable food itens. Fire places in homes are banned from use. Restaurants that have grills face big fines if they don’t have elaborate air scrubbers. This is actually good, with so many restaruants the smoke from these places got so bad that it was choking in some neighborhoods, going to peoples places.

Even in the country, they don’t allow open fores burning leaves or garbage for environmental reasons. Recycling is required. Composting is encouraged.

Unless you want to make cows happy, mulching mowers are the only way to go. They do a good job. Cows really love eating freshly cut grass.

I’ve seen places with synthetic lawns. I don’t know what the neighborhood dogs think of it.

You have it good. It helps to have the clocks set so that you get up early to beat the heat.

The time shift really messes with my head twice a year. It disrupts sleeping habits and can go on for weeks.
I was born and raised in Ohio and when we moved West I never adjusted to the western timezones. I have always got up at 6AM Ohio time.

I couldn't sleep so I rearranged my bass porn wall::laugh:
