Today is D-Day(downsizing day) after 13 weeks of epic amounts of effort.

House sold, most things in storage, few things left to move to my daughter's house(3.2 miles away)and we're gone from our 40-year stay in this neck of the woods. We'll camp there for awhile.

Won't miss the traffic and 2 story house, will miss the neighbors, 20'x40' garage and the home we built in 1990.

She’s an amazing musician and makes songs her own. She’s come a long way from Woodstock. Her album, Yes Santa There Is A Melanie, is our favorite Christmas record. Old Bitch Warrior and Melanie - Beautiful Hits are both worth buying.

She had the Edwin Hawkin singers on this record. Pretty good for a kid.

Days late and more than a dollar short for roll call, as usual.
Life goes on. Let's see, which body parts hurt today?

Trying to get proficient at regrinding chisel and plane iron bevels. Progress is incremental. I suspect that, as usual, my repressed OCD is causing me to worry too much about getting the angles exact, rather than suitably close enough for proper function. Like it'll make a difference in my unskilled hands.
Good thing I have some junk to practice on, before I graduate to quality tools.

Hey fellow GOF's. Have a pedal question. Normally playing out, I don't use pedals but I do on my church rig currently I am running instruments to pedal tuner then to BBE opticomp compressor to GB shuttle 9.0. I am adding a EH pitch fork to blend 1 octave up. Not doing anything crazy, i.e. triple up and down, detuning etc. Just single octave up on some tunes that call for 1 note for like an entire verse. Would it be best to put the pitchfork last in line between compressor and amp? Any help is appreciated thanks donn

I manage to get good results with a honing guide with a sarpening stone or milled flat surface. Similar guides are available for use with grinders.

Rob Cosman has some great videos on hand cutting dovetails. Talk about challenging OCD. A nice way to make speaker cabinets.

Just before the compressor would work well to even out the pitchfork’s output. Especially if distored to take the edge off. I have an old EH pitch shifter/fuzz, it can get quite nasty. Like the one below. It plugs into the wall.

My queston is, does the pastor know that you are being aided by a pitchfork in church?

Here's my little find -- a cool small plane that has been around since Vietnam. The OV-10 Bronco. It's been taken out of retirement to fight ISIS.

Too cool!. There's a coupla them here in Lantana(south West Palm Beach)civilian owned. I had 2 of them make 'practice passes' @ my Freightliner back in '86 on US 27 near Lake Okeechobee. A bit startling.
