Isn't it something that back in the olden days the church was usually at the center of town... good lesson to remember nowadays....

It sure is! I love old pictures of places. I try to imagine me being there.

I’ve been to New Orleans a few times. Great city! Lots to do.
It appears to me that this is a rear view of the Cathedral. Next to the cathedral is the military headquarters where they signed the Louisiana Purchase. Surreal to sit in the same room and view the table they sat at. Lots of history in the French Quarter.

One of my favorite "towns"...

Also at the center of town (usually very close to city hall and the court) is a newspaper. And not all that far from the paper are schools where children are taught the three R's so they can read the newspaper .... all the while there's music being played somewhere ... and if you're an employee of a newspaper who gets paid to write about the concert they just saw you get to file a story like this one about Nick Mason "Saucer Full of Secrets" guy

Will, those are some serious logs in the old pic! Sitka spruce?

Of course!

I just got grumpy earlier than most. One day I got a number. That was way back, before the lines and stuff. No, I can't remember the number.

Maybe you could ummmm time travel back to find out..... :bag:

Hats. I'd be alive today if I wasn't wearing a Susquehanna Hat.

And of course I read they smoked a lot and nobody cleaned up the horse manure, and naturally my mind fills in the blank with that bit where Cheech and Chong are smoking dog pewp.

Time travel. No pics no proof
