Get off my LAWN! "Grumpy Old Farts"

There rather seem to be a lot of bass players who came from saxophone. Alto to tenor, and stayed for the electric bass. I've forgotten how to read treble clef. Oh I mean I could, but not really interested in learning again.

And Sonny Rollins is the Kwisatz Hederach, er, I mean Saxophone Colossus.

A long time ago, schools had what they called music programs. Kids got to take up instruments and be in the school band. Some fortunate kids still have this, many don’t as priorities have shifted.

I donate equipment that I no longer use to non profit music schools. I hear good things about this one in California. Wish that there were more places like this one.

I’ve donated a fair amount of stuff to a local high school. The kids truly appreciate it.

Nice finish on your bass. Also like the neck adjustment wheel. Way better than removing the neck like on my PBass. Maybe why I never change my flats.
Thank you. Yeah, the Am Elites have the MM style truss rod adjustors, which confuses some of my Fender-Certified techie friends. But I love the ease of adjustment on this bass. Taking the neck off is way too much trouble.

What do you think we look like to them? ;)

Lee Sklar says that people know what he'd recently eaten by looking down at his beard! :smug:
Really, just a few numbers, left? Wow, are there truly that many of us that the number are almost all gone?!?!?!?
Someone awhile back suggested making up your own. So I did, based on birthday.

Wow! You’re 228 years old?

Maybe folks should pick a number based on how old or grumpy they feel.

There’s a market for songs that old people can relate to.
For instance, I envision one called The Prune Juice Express sang a la Johnny Cash.

Come to think of it, there are many songs for old people.

A haunting laptop take on Neil’s song, Old Man

He did a lovely job on four strong winds.

Harvest Moon.

Then there’s Can’t Find My Way Home.

Ball of confusion, Rod Stewart plays a banjo on Mandolin Wind. A mandolin was used on Maggie May. Every Picture Tells A Story was a good album.

The mantra of so many old and lonely people when you go to visit them. The urgency in Stay With Me.

Lonely People, America

That takes you to a place of imaginary numbers. In mathematics, they represent that with i, in electrical engineering they use j because i is reserved for current.

Took my last math class in 1971 or 2 and managed university without ever going near maths. In point of fact, the only reason I scored a positive number on my math boards is because I signed my name correctly. I may have accidentally managed one or two correct answers. I understand math but can't properly solve a math problem to save my life. That "skill" fled my field in 67 following a concussion, contusion and fractured skull that still manifests as mild aphasia. For example, when I see a jack of hearts, I think queen of diamonds (or some such) even though I can plainly see and also know I'm holding a jack of hearts.

So how did I manage a degree? <grin> Well shoot, ya gotta learn something in boarding school (like creative paperwork). All on the up and up, too!
