That's only the tip of it Mr. @Al Kraft . There's a darkness among the younger generation today. This leads to anger sometimes. No money-- hard to get a job that pays to buy an overpriced home-- no money for education or health care-- no wonder they're morose or angry. And using 'smartphones' has made them dependent on technology rather than thinking for themselves. Recently I bought an apple pie from Micky Dee's for 76 cents. I gave the clerk $1.01 to get a quarter back. He just didn't get it-- I asked him to do the math in his head and he was told by management to always use the registers. He acted like I gave him a major revelation when the register said 25 cents change... sheesh... and don't even get me going about cursive training..

A McD near me will slip in a size upgrade. You order a medium trio, they come back with so that’s a large drink, etc... Most people don’t catch it, maybe thinking that it’s a special. They charge you more. Seems that other stores do this as well. Head office claims that they have no control over store policies.
Also, give them $50, the cash is programmed to register 49.99. There were other rounding errors related to tax. Stealing few cents per customer must add up.
I avoid them.
As for the poor students. I see them in pricey restaurants, ordering out most of the time, spending a lot of money on cloths, vacations, etc. They don’t seem to have any limits. Companies have been buying hotels. They convert them into high end student residences. This is big money. The rooms are expensively furnished. Maid and high end food services are provided. The children seem to be bankrolled by their parents wanting them to live according to what they accustomed to at home. Some parents even buy them condos while in school and sell them once they have graduated.
We were married when we went to school. We finished in the normal time, debt free. We both worked to pay our own way.
