The blue Ibanez Mikro arrived on Tuesday...
The very next day, the Roland MicroCube RX arrived!
This li’l amp spent the first part of its life across the water.
It arrived with an Irish/ British plug attached.
I spent a few minutes puzzling out where to buy an adapter.
We have North American to Irish adaptors, but I was wondering if they would work going in the other direction (a firm NO.) ...and while I am giving myself an internal bitching out, I realize that the Very reason I bought this amp is because it’s battery-powered!!
6 AAs later, I Am Good To GO!
Playing along with Bob Marley & The Wailers is good for me.
The very next day, the Roland MicroCube RX arrived!
This li’l amp spent the first part of its life across the water.
It arrived with an Irish/ British plug attached.
I spent a few minutes puzzling out where to buy an adapter.

Nice looking bass. A well traveled amp! If they can handle the Wailers pumping bass, they can handle anything. The lead in No Woman No Cry is perfection.

The Irish connection, huh? I've a spare amp cable for Irish sockets, guessing you don't need? Don't forget to change the fuse for American voltage, if it's got a fuse ....
Boy, I wish I could write a song like that. A song has to start strong and hook you in so that you’ll keep listening. The horn section does this. The high energy and pounding interesting bass lines keep up throughout the song.
This song was recorded in late ‘67 and released on January 8 of 1968. B-sides are often hidden jewels. This song was the B-side to I thank you. Tung in cheek perhaps that the last song they recorded with Stax was I Thank You and Wrap It Up. They were always signed to Atlantic but loaned out to Stax label. Atlantic manufactured and distributed for Stax. After Stax and Atlantic parted ways, they became proper Atlantic artists.
Written by David Porter and Isaac Hayes. Porter is a writing machine.
