Get off my LAWN! "Grumpy Old Farts"

Been on a four hour bakery crawl this morning. Got way too much sun. If I can walk there, I’m allowed to get something.

It’s amazing how how fast baby ducks grow, they look like they’ve doubled in size in the last week. The bakery bread went down as soon as it hit the ground.

There’s always one small timid one in the back. A follower, the last to get out of the pond, the last to get any food. I like to hold back something, just for that one, so all can have a smile on their face.

Forgive me, but...the folks that do bird science and wildlife rehab are strongly advising against giving bread to ducks.
Stop Feeding Ducks Bread

Thanks for pointing that out.

It was a high fibre black bread with whole seed content but best not to even offer that.

I’ve seen Purina duck chow at the tractor supply store. Not sure if it would be a treat or healthy for them. Maybe stick with fruit and seeds.

What is the world coming to when we're on a first name basis here? Shocking. (By cracky).

Funny then

For a friend who I also work with always addresses me as Morrighan, as she did today when the work ping began: Morrrighan, is the ... [you don't want to know what follows, really]. She's as close a friend as I have ever known, knows my full name and ... come to think of it she has never called me by my first name. It could be, in part, because our friendship grew out of the work we do. The point is there's crossover between who calls me what in what situation <shrug>

I have the same thing. The friend who coaxed me out to California in 2006 knew me originally online, where I used the username Elle (for L, of course). To this day that is what she calls me.

Medb is definitely spelled correctly. It's pronounced just the way it looks.:roflmao:

"Medb yes, Medb no..."
